Gemma Chan's red carpet foundation is 50% off at Chemist Warehouse

Any excuse to bulk buy beauty products

The Eternals premiere officially kicked off last night in LA and, as is to be expected, Gemma Chan (who plays one of the Marvel movie’s central characters) looked stunning.

Celebrity makeup artist Monika Blunder created a vampy glam look for the L’Oréal ambassador using a slew of L’Oréal goodies – including a foundation which just so happens to be a bloody bargain (score).

The skin-perfecting formula in question is L’Oréal Paris Infallible Fresh Wear Foundation, and it’s currently half price at Chemist Warehouse. Yep, you can forget paying $31.95 for a bottle of this lightweight, long-lasting formula because the discount pharmacy is peddling bottles of the stuff for just $15.97 a pop.

The key to achieving Chan’s airbrushed, sculpted makeup using the drugstore foundation?

According to an interview with The Zoe Report, Blunder likes to prime the skin with a hyaluronic acid serum first to help plump and hydrate the actress’ complexion (here are some hyaluronic acid serums that’ll get your skin prepped for that budget-friendly foundation).

But when it comes to foundation application, the A-list makeup artist likes to do things a little differently: “To start the base of the skin, apply L’Oréal Paris Infallible Fresh Wear Foundation to ensure the skin is fresh and dewy.”

“Then apply a darker shade to the cheeks and jawline to create depth and dimension,” Blunder explained.

Lucky for us, Chemist Warehouse stocks 15 shades of L’Oréal Paris Infallible Fresh Wear Foundation, so this trick can work on a multitude of skin tones.
