This pH-balanced, colour-safe aloe and mango-infused haircare pairing amps up the nourishment for softer strands, improved shine and hair health overall, while being completely free of nasties (we're talking sulphate, paraben, colourant and silicone-free shampoo and sulphate, paraben and colourant-free conditioner). The lowdown

How hydrating the formula was: Our members who’ve been experiencing dry ends from being stuck in lockdown and a history of colour treatments said this aloe and mango-infused duo was just what the doctor ordered.

Soft strands: Across the board, reviewers admitted that the range left their hair softer than traditional shampoo and conditioners that were also targeted to treating their coloured and chemically lightened hair.

The fruity fragrance: Funnily enough, one point our members kept reiterating time and time again was that they absolutely loved the smell of the range. Seeing that the haircare duo is packed full of mango, it’s not hard to see why they fell so deeply in love.

The verdict

I used [Herbal Essences bio:renew Potent Aloe + Mango Shampoo] in conjunction with the matching conditioner. It has a delicious tropical mango smell that almost smells like a cocktail! Only need to use a small amount as it lathers very well. It left my colour treated/highlighted hair feeling very soft and bouncy and left it with a yummy subtle fragrance. A very generous sized bottle which should last for ages! Very happy to see it is cruelty free and vegan.”

“[Herbal Essences bio:renew Potent Aloe + Mango Shampoo] is such a yummy luxurious experience, it was quite a surprise to pop open the bottle and smell the mango! The shampoo lathers very well and you don't need too much of it. I made the mistake of using my usual 50 cent amount on my elbow length hair for the first time and my goodness it was bubbly heaven when I only needed half of that. My hair felt soft, silky smooth and lightweight after the shampoo removed the heaviness and gunk out of my hair.”
