We have a guilty secret to admit… No, we don’t pick our pimples (most of the time), and we definitely aren’t going to sleep with our makeup on. However, we have to share about the ungodly amount of time we spent as children and teens glued to the Victoria Secret’s runway show. Sure, it’s no crime, but boy did we take in every single second. Aside from gifting us a serious strut (that was embarrassingly practiced in the school hallways), and a powerful smize, this absolute adoration also meant we’ve committed all our favourite angels to memory and regularly wonder: where are they now?

For us, Jasmine Tookes never disappeared from our screens; she simply swapped strutting on our plasma screens to working out and striking a pose on our phone ones. But whenever the now mum-of-one has some serious sage words of wisdom to offer us, we drop everything to listen…

Here are her latest tips around workouts, wellness and beauty…

Jasmine Tookes’ workout routine

Having co-founded Joja with fellow former angel, Josephine Skriver, the site has grown well beyond its initial sharing of friendship-focused fitness, even launching the brand into activewear.

Tookes however just wanted to inspire people with her workout videos. And honestly we need the inspo to hit the gym (and the workouts) as hard as she does. With a mixed focus on pilates (specifically reformer) and weight training, Tookes finds these to be the perfect combo to help her achieve her goals. Speaking to Who What Wear, Tookes spoke about how she “love[s] feeling super strong and really toned” and appreciates the targeted stretching she gets from pilates. But what she really finds sets her apart is lifting weights while squatting and deadlifting. She really finds it gets her booty looking tight and firm and if we’re ever going to take booty-toning advice from someone, it would be from a Victoria’s Secret angel.

Since becoming a mum, she’s found that motherhood influenced her to become healthier, and saw her wanting to improve her already healthy lifestyle. It was all about making choices to maintain positivity around her daughter and to create a fun and safe space for her to live in. Part of that self-improvement comes from caring for herself inside and out, incorporating magnesium, vitamin D and K supplements into her everyday routine. Tookes even makes sure as she runs out the door she takes a bottle of lemon water (for an important hydration hit), infused with electrolyte powder for that added something extra.

As for what she fuels her body with, she named “going to dinner, cooking with friends, and juice cleansing with Pressed Juicery” as her wellness “ins” for 2024, as well as “rather than dieting or restricting oneself, adopting healthy habits instead.” Fittingly stunning advice!
