The natural shampoo formula helps to calm scalp irritation, minimise dandruff, and hydrate hair.

Beauty Crew sent the Klorane Anti Dandruff Rebalancing Shampoo with Galangal to a panel of people aged 18 and older with dandruff and an itchy scalp.

The lowdown

Here’s what the Review Crew® loved about the Klorane Anti Dandruff Rebalancing Shampoo with Galangal.

It minimised flakiness: A number of our reviewers had previously experienced scalp flakiness and even severe dandruff. But after introducing the shampoo into their routine, they noticed that their scalps were flake-free in between wash days.  

It soothed scalp irritation: Review Crew® members with extremely irritated and sensitive scalps said that the shampoo helped to alleviate and soothe their scalp woes. 

It cleansed hair without drying it out: While the shampoo boasted impressive results in terms of minimising flakiness, it didn’t affect the hair’s equilibrium. Many reviewers said that the shampoo effectively cleansed their scalp while keeping their strands feeling hydrated.

“I went from having really bad dandruff to the point [where] my scalp would bleed. Now my head is fully clear and I have no issues with my scalp at the moment. Worked really well [for] my dandruff and [made] my scalp nice and clear. I would definitely recommend using this product if you have bad dandruff… and I find my hair to be quite clean-looking and feeling afterwards.”

“I have had dandruff and psoriasis all my life and I’m always looking for good dandruff shampoos and conditioners to combat this issue so this trial was great for me. I love Klorane products as I have tried other shampoos of theirs, but not anti dandruff ones, so I knew this shampoo would be of good quality. When I applied the shampoo, it soaped up nicely in my hair and made my hair feel clean. I did leave the shampoo in my hair for about a minute before rinsing off, as I like the active ingredients to work thoroughly on my scalp… and when I dried my hair I didn’t see many flakes of dandruff in my hair which was great. I have used this shampoo twice a week now and it has seemed to improve my flaky scalp. I will definitely continue to use this great anti dandruff shampoo in the winter months, as that is when my flaky scalp is the worst.”

“I really enjoyed this anti-dandruff shampoo. I have mild dandruff that flares up during cold and dry weather, which has been frequently becoming more common over the last month. On the first use I did notice that the shampoo did not lather up as much as my regular shampoo so I did have to use more product. After my hair was cleaned and dry it felt very soft and [the shampoo] did not dry out my ends. Initially my scalp appeared very clean and completely free of flakes, with minimal flaking eventuating between weekly washes. Overall I enjoyed the product and the packaging, quite different to many other bottles on the market. I will continue to use the anti-dandruff shampoo as we get into the colder months.”
