Review Crew®: L’Oréal Paris Magic Retouch

Our reviewers put the root concealer spray to the test

Beauty Crew Beauty Editor / May 25 2017

For those prone to grey patches or regrowth from being caught between salon visits or at-home hair colouring jobs, finding a temporary solution to cover the area could be one of your best beauty finds..

We gathered a panel of women over the age of 30 with light brown to dark brown hair who suffered from grey roots to trial L’Oréal’s Magic Retouch Root Concealer Spray, a temporary pigmented product that covers regrowth and grey hair until it is washed out with shampoo.

Here’s what they thought of the product.

The Review Crew® verdict:

After trying the product and mastering the precise nozzle, the Review Crew® found it was really easy to apply onto their grey hair, and that it was something they would definitely like to incorporate into their beauty routine when caught between colouring their hair.

Another point that the Review Crew® raised was how well the colour stayed put over time (until shampooing out), and praised how the product didn’t transfer onto clothing.

While the Review Crew® did think that it was tricky to pick the right shade to match their own hair colour, most were pleased at how well the colour matched and blended in with their hair colour.

This is so easy to use, I can't believe someone didn't think of this earlier! I just point where I want to update my hair colour and spray. It's that quick!
I found this 'L'Oreal Paris Magic Retouch a great, innovative product. It has a great applicator and a small amount goes a long way.
I was sceptical that this product could really be as effective as advertised, but I was pleasantly surprised and thrilled with how quick and easy L'Oreal Magic Retouch is to use and how well it blended with my hair colour.
