The lipstick staples your beauty kit could be missing

The product

The L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche lipstick range isn’t what one would call limited. Featuring over a whopping 40 shades in three different finishes, there's literally a L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche lipstick (or four) for everyone. We sent three lipstick wardrobe staples to our Review Crew®: Coco Rico (red), Beige Anu (nude) and Magnolia Irreverence (pink).

Beauty Crew sent L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche lipsticks to a panel of women aged 25 to 54 looking for their perfect lipsticks in a range of finishes and colours.

The lowdown

Here's what the Review Crew® loved about L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche lipsticks:

How great the shades were: While the Review Crew® testers didn’t trial every shade in the range, they were incredibly impressed with the three colours they were sent. They were complimentary of the pigmentation and pay-off, with many mentioning they’d found their go-to nude, THE red lipstick, and the pink that would pep up tired skin. 

Editor note: Beauty Crew’s Carli is also a fan of Coco Rico, with the shade being a handbag staple for her. 

How comfortable their lips felt: Many reviewers noted that the lipstick glided easily onto lips, leaving a finish that wasn’t drying, heavy, or uncomfortable. Testers commented that their lips felt moisturised and soft while wearing the lip colours – including the matte red lipstick. 

How good the packaging was: Reviewers were quick to praise the elegant packaging that made a budget-friendly product look premium, and they also appreciated the packing was functional with the lid clicking into place, meaning they could rest easy knowing it wouldn’t come off in their handbag.

Good to know: Some did comment that they needed to reapply after eating or drinking coffee or tea, but were mostly happy that the lipstick seemed to last around three to four hours. 

This may not be for you if: You prefer unscented lipsticks. Many testers noted the lipstick does have a fragrance, but some found it faded after application.
