CHANEL Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow

I was drawn to this pallet whilst travelling in Singapore. I loved the glass pot, and the vibrancy of the colours were amazing (I bought the purple). The pigments of the Chanel Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow is vibrant and the cream shadow means you can easily build up colour. I loved the soft mousse like texture, and the soft luminous shine is so luxurious. The only downside is it dries out a bit if you don't seal the lid properly, but that doesn't impact the eye shadow.

I must say that I am not very happy when I fall in love with the make up item that costs $50 for one shade and I want more and more of them. Chanel Illusion D'Ombre is one of the most precious make up item in my collection, not only because of the price tag ( let's face it, we have seen thing much more expensive) but because of its quality, its shades and the most gorgeous effect it creates on the lids. Chanel really doesn't go wrong with the packaging, and this time they do not disappoint either. We get a cute little jar ( quite heavy) with the black lid ( white Chanel logo right in the middle of it). The shades of Chanel Illusion D'Ombre are most beautiful, most versatile and most flattering  I have seen for ages. I have got them in : 83 Illusoire that is a lovely purple grey with metallic finish and sparkles, 85 Mirifique black with silver sparkles, and 97 New Moon rusty coppery pinky brown with rose pink sparkles. When I say sparkles I mean the most subtle, yet visible, flattering shimmery particles, Chanel are masters at balancing/ measuring the right amount of sparkles in the shadows, so no worries, no one will look like a disco ball. The formula of the shadows is like a bouncy mousse. The easiest way of application is with the fingers ( for a quick wash of colour), but we can also apply the moussy shadows with brushes ( for a more precise eye make up). The pigmentation is pretty incredible, what i also noticed about these shadows is that we can build up the effect, from a wash of colour to a full on result. Illusion D'Ombres are very long lasting, the only creamy shadows that do not crease on my lids. They adhere to the lids beautifully and stay there all day long. They are extremely economical as a little goes a long way. I believe this is a perfect option for those who wear one/ maybe two eyeshadows and can't be bothered with blending, doing creases etc. Illusion D'Ombre does the whole look. Add a touch of a mascara and you are done, and believe me, you'll get compliments too. They are perfect for big events too, because they make our eye make up stand out. I do have to take one star away though as the price is pretty high for one shadow, and after some time that lovely bouncy moussy texture will start drying out. However, with that said, even when it is dry, the shadow is still usable and doesn't lose its sparkly magic.
