CHANEL Poudre Universelle Compacte Natural Finish Pressed Powder

The Chanel Compact Pressed Powder comes in a sleek, shiny black mirrored compact with the signature Chanel logo on top. It is a fine, talc based pressed powder that has a basic, thin sponge applicator. I prefer to use a separate, slightly thicker sponge or brush to apply this powder as I don't find the sponge included is very effective in picking up an adequate amount of the product. The powder is lightweight and has a delicate scent, it doesn't provide heavy or pigmented coverage and for me it looks more like a regular translucent pressed powder. In terms of the texture; it is a finely milled powder that  doesn't look or feel heavy on the skin at all.  I really wanted to like this compact pressed powder as I wanted to justify the high price tag, but unfortunately I find this feels a little chalky and drying even on my combination to oily skin. I purchased shade 20 Clair for my fairly light skin tone, but find that it looks a bit orange on my skin, especially by the end of the day. I would recommend this powder to anyone who wants light , sheer or almost translucent coverage and is looking for a stylish and luxurious compact for touch-ups during the day. It leaves the skin feeling matte and shine-free, however I would prefer a little more coverage. I think there are plenty of less expensive brands available that provide better coverage and don't have the chalky feel of this powder.
