Designer Brands Blur Primer

Primer is a must for me under my foundation and also under my BB cream to create a beautiful canvas of smooth skin.  I used to stick to two favourite liquid primers but I’ve branched out after reading positive reviews on the Designer Brand primers.    The Designer Brands Blur Primer has a different texture to what I am used to –it is more like a blend of gel and powder which is probably what gives the beautiful velvety finish.  The primer glides over my skin very smoothly leaving a blurred look to my complexion and minimising the appearance of fine lines which is just the effect I’m after.      The DB Blur Primer is packaged in a soft, beige coloured tube with a screw top lid.  The tube holds 25ml of product which might not seem very much but the primer seems to go a long way.  I love that the formula contains vitamins C and E, aloe vera and green tea extract to promote a balanced skin tone.   My foundation and BB cream apply so easily over the primer with no streaking, balling or flaking.  The Designer Brands Blur Primer produces a flawless finish so I can totally recommend this product as a primer that does an amazing job.   

This Blur Primer has a silicone texture which makes my skin feels super smooth after apply and it goes well with all of my foundations. After applying my foundation straight away I noticed that more pores have been smooth out and my skin seems to be less dry and doesn't have cracks or flakes. The primer helps the foundation to deliver a beautiful natural finish like my skin but better result.

I use this product on all my makeup clients from young to mature. I find this gives an instant blurring effect. It has a silicone smoothing formula and does leave a residue on your hands however when you pat and massage this into the skin you can see an amazing result for the price!!

Lots of reasons to love this one. Comes in a handy 25ml tube and only a little product is needed.  It is cruelty-free and has lots of beneficial ingredients.  This one is has a lotion consistency and applies smoothly giving a satin finish.  I use it on areas that usually become dry and prevent makeup creasing.  It serves that purpose very well, my makeup stays smooth and crease-free all day, and my skin doesn't feel tight and dry by end of the day like it usually does.  Lovely primer and not suffocating like many primers I have tried.

I do like DB products, and for a lot of reasons. All products certified vegan and bunny-friendly as they don't do animal testing. All formulas of each are developed under a scientific guidelines and have no parabens, bismuth or talc.  Their aim is to create designer brand comparative products at a low affordable price point.  I've found that a little goes a long way. It can be used over foundation but I haven't tried this yet. I apply with my fingertips to the areas that my makeup wears away during the day- around my nose, mouth, chin. I can't say it helps my foundations staying power, but it makes for a much smoother application.
