Designer Brands Flawless Strobing Illuminator Stick

Designer Brands Flawless Strobing Stick is one of the few cream highlighters I have,  and one of the most convenient. Powder highlighters are a little easier to blend but can be messier to apply. DB Strobing stick is super easy to apply with it's twist-up applicator. It can be a little greasy on application, which may not suit someone with oily skin. The shade looks like a pearly pink beige but actually comes out quite white, providing instant illumination whilst still being subtle. This suits me as I'm not actually after  a strobing effect and the light colour is just right for my fair skin.  Like most  DB products it is super affordable and a little goes a long way. Further ticks for ease of application and for it's pearly white colour - so pretty.

I prefer powders usually so I chose this product to try something new and different. Designer Brands tend to almost always impress with their affordable, amazing products, the Flawless Strobing Stick was no exception! The colour I picked was Iridescent and it is a beautiful pinky-purple pearl sheen. As others have noted this is best applied with your fingers before any of your normal face powders or you will have a bad, smudgy time! This was difficult to build up on top of itself to achieve a truly blinding highlight, the effect is slightly more subtle, the colour still makes it quite eye-catching and beautiful! I have lately been using this as a base for my more out-there powder highlighters and it has taken them up to a crazy new level. They are blinding and magnificent! Aside from that the main benefit I find from having this product is quick easy application with no unnecessary extra packaging which makes it a great addition to my travel make-up, without having to skimp on my glow!

This illuminator feels a tiny bit greasy to apply and looks very subtle.  I was a tad disappointed as it looked quite bright and shimmery from a swatch photo I saw on Instagram.  I've used it quite a few times now and each time I feel like I can never put enough on as the product doesn't seem to build up.  Initially it will feel quite greasy but once I apply powder to set all my makeup, it feels fine.  I'd recommend it to someone who is just after a very subtle look
