Eau Thermale Avène Hydrance Intense Rehydrating Serum

I have been using Eau Thermale Avene products for years and they have become something of a staple for me, not overly expensive but still effective skincare. They have very little fragrance, making them perfect for sensitive skin that reacts to additives and they are quite light creams, that avoid clogging the pores. The intense hydrating serum, is very light and easily applied and absorbed into my skin, ready for day or night cream. It has the same signature mild “no-scent” scent like other Avene products. Avene has several ranges that clearly target different skin conditions and the Hydrance is of course for dry skin in need of hydration. This is certainly something that I need, having dry, more mature, skin and I have happily added this cream to my routine with no issues. It is especially suited to the morning for light skin care under make-up. However, for my purposes it is a little on the light side, and probably not rich enough to really absorb into my skin and make a big difference. It comes second, in my opinion, to the Physiolift serum with its firming and plumping qualities, but would probably suit a normal-combination skin-type with light hydration needs. The pump action bottle is much more convenient and hygienic than the old “fingers-in-the-jar” style packaging. However one last slight negative - the lightness of this product doesn’t affect the price! it is still quite expensive for a pharmacy brand, given the 30 ml size and I am with other reviewers - a larger size that lasted longer would be very welcome.

Loving this serum at the moment. I generally have combination skin that is seasonal so come winter season in Melbourne, my skin completely dries out in the wind and heater and needs intense hydrating, that's exactly what this serum provides. I use it morning and evening after cleansing my skin. It pumps the right amount of product to cover the whole face, glides on clear and smoothly without feeling cloggy on the surface. I feel immediate hydration and plumpness and the smell of all the Avene products are just divine. Highly recommend.

This serum works great for dry and dull skin. Since using this serum, my skin has felt hydrated and has more bounce to it. A small amount went a long way with this serum and it definitely lasted a while. It was smooth to use and applied on easily. I was able to apply my moisturizer or night cream and it worked well with both options. I've noticed my skin looks more of a bounce and firm and has a glow. I love the pump and the design of the bottle. It was lovely using a product that looked great and worked. I would definitely recommend this product.

This serum is great for dry skin. At times my skin felt tight but since using this serum my skin feels more hydrated. I only need a small amount for my face so this serum will last a while. It glides on my skin and absorbs fairly quickly. I then apply my moisturiser or night cream and it works well with both. I've noticed my skin looks more plump and firm and has more of a glow. I like that the bottle is clear so I can see how much product is left. The pump is convenient and distributes the right amount of serum. It's a must try if you have dry skin.

Avene hydrance intense rehydrating serum has perfect packaging with glass bottle and in a pump to keep the ingredients fresh .. so it can last long.. it has very mild fragrance which is barely there.. consistency is milky thin not too thick or too runny.. It absorbs in skin really well skin feel soothe,soft and hydrated .. i have a dry or sensitive some areas .. so it worked really well it doesnot felt burning on those areas which i usually get .. it is perfect to use with rest of your skincare.. It doesnot irritated my skin and loved using this .. It has perfect ingredients to give perfect daily hydration .. i have used it morning and night.. I would definately recomend it if you have dehydrated or sensitive skin

This serum marketed for dehydrated, sensitive skin and comes in a 30ml glass pump bottle. It is water-based and has a simple formula with a few humectants including glycerin and Methyl Gluceth-20, and Vitamin E as an antioxidant. Fragrance is listed in the ingredients, but it doesn't have any strong scent at all. The texture is that of a light milky emulsion, that absorbs quickly without any tacky after feel. It reminds me of hydrating Japanese milk emulsions. It is a pleasant serum to use, and does add hydration as claimed. It layers nicely under sunscreen and make-up and doesn't interfere with other parts of my routine. However, in my personal opinion, there is nothing special about it compared to other hydrating serums, and doesn't really contain any ingredients for other functions except Vitamin E. Perhaps it is more suited for those with very sensitive skins that cannot tolerate other products. It would be better if this came in a bigger bottle as well.

I received this product from Beauty Crew to test and I love it! It has a clean, subtle smell to it reminding me of freshly done laundry. It is cream based so goes on well and feels silky smooth on my skin. I use it as a base for my skin care routine and have noticed that my skin feels a lot more hydrated. As I age, I feel like I need a syrum that is stronger in the hydration levels as I'm starting to get dry skin more prevalently and this product has helped to keep my skin hydrated during the day as well as night. My skin tone has also improved and I no longer have redness around my cheeks when I wake up in the morning. I love how the bottle is clear so you know just how much product you have left - I hate when you get bottles that you can't see into so you have to rely on the weight of it to try and determine when it's going to run out. I have also found that it is a good base for make up! I don't even use a primer when I use this as it helps to keep my makeup in place - it also helps keep my skin hydrated when I use more drying foundations. This seriously is one of the best things!

This product truly works and is oh so soft and light on the skin. The skin drinks it in and doesn't leave a greasy residue or film on top of the skin like some other serums. It definitely is an intense rehydrating serum and my skin feels like a baby's bum. I found that I only need a pea size per application as the serum goes a long way. When I was younger I was that tomboy who rolled out of bed and got on with the day and I never used to partook in all the facial routines and moisturising in the morning or at night with all the creams and serums however now, as I am getting older, and wiser, I have gained a new appreciation for quality serums and I look forward to using this serum as a fresh way to start the day and also as a relaxing hydrator at night. It’s also so refreshing on the skin after a long or hot day. I use a moisturiser on top of the serum and my skin feels quite moisturised and plump all day long. Over a month I noticed that my pores and lines (frown lines, smile lines, crow’s feet) reduced significantly, and my skin appears so much clearer, plumper, softer and brighter. It feels like I have splurged on some ridiculously expensive serum however the serum is very reasonably priced. At first I thought it was quite pricey however if 1 bottle lasts me 1 month then its really only just over $10 per week, which is equivalent to 2-3 coffees a week. I know where I’d rather spend my money even though I consider coffee my king! I have combination skin which, as I get older and also working in air conditioning, is drier than it used to be but has the occasional oil outbreak. This serum doesn’t seem to make my skin worse when its oilier however it definitely helps when its feeling drier. It’s also great to use as a base before applying makeup. I also use the serum after I have cleansed at night before bed and it soaks in so quickly, so I don’t have to worry about pillow slips being damaged. I recommended this product to my mum and now we are both hooked. The packaging in chic and something I like to see on my bathroom vanity. The cylinder is clear so you can see how much you have left which is handy, so I know when to get some more. The pump action works well and provides a suitable amount of product easily. Like anything pump action, the serum on the bottom is difficult to get out of the bottle when its almost all gone so I normally take off the pump and turn the bottle upside down so gravity helps me get the very last of the bottle contents. I do wish the product came in bigger bottles (like a 50ml option). 1 bottle, if used morning and night last me about 1 month.
