Estée Lauder Modern Muse Chic Eau de Parfum

I'm so impressed by this perfume - having tried the other modern muse's before I thought I knew what to expect, but this has honestly just gone and blown all of my expectations out of the water. Although previous modern muse perfumes have always smelt quite fruity and floral, modern muse chic is much darker and more sensual. It is a very bold scent, full of musk, warm vanilla and patchouli, but with lovely hints of jasmine and lily that cut through the heaviness and give it a fresh feeling. Because of this I find that it is also appropriate for day-time wear, and will easily take you from the office to a late-night party or get together.  Overall I think I would describe the scent as slightly spicy and sweet at the same time, with neither of those scents taking over and becoming overpowering. There is a slight fruity tang to it, but very subtle and well balanced. When I spray this on my pulse points, the scent lasts all day long without needing re-application. Because of how bold and powerful the scent is, I would recommend only spraying a tiny bit, as it will carry. This perfume is very recognisable and works perfectly as a signature scent - it makes me feel elegant and classy, and I believe the well-balanced nature of the scent will allow it to remain timeless.
