IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Silk HD Anti-Aging Micro-Powder

This product is on my holy grail make up list. It is by far one of the best setting powders I’ve used and a little goes a long way. It’s not a product i use everyday but when I have a full face of make up on including concealer and foundation then this is a must to help everything set. If I’m in a rush then I’ll lightly dust it on my face with a brush but if I have more time I will bake my make up - apply a generous amount especially over concealer and smile lines and wait for 10min and voilá! I dust it off my face and OMG the results are nothing short of spectacular showcasing my flawless skin. I highly recommend that anyone who loves makeup and uses concealer and foundation definitely give this a try and become a true fan. 

I love powders, I really do. They just don’t love me. I have really dry skin, and no matter how great the powder is, the moment powder hits my skin, my face looks like dried up parchment. That said, there are times when you just HAVE to use some powder. Like with concealer. It’s a must. So it’s been a bit of trial-and-error finding the very best powder I could find that would minimise that parchment effect. THIS is that powder.  It’s so finely milled it really is like silk. Truly beautiful. And it works so well with my It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye concealer. And on very, very rare occasions when the stars have aligned and that one special butterfly flapped it’s wings at just the right moment way over in Outer Mongolia, I can sometimes apply a little of this stuff to other parts of my face, too! If you're going to wear foundation then it is important to use a finishing powder as your final step and I would highly recommend using the IT cosmetics bye bye pores anti ageing micro powder.  I have tried my fair share of powders and this happens to be one of my favourites.  I used to never use a finishing/translucent powder until one day a friend of mine who is a makeup artist recommended that I use one.  It was then that I had realised that this was what my makeup kit needed all along.  Your makeup look isn't complete without this crucial and final step! I know it may not seem that important but it's only until you start using it that you actually realise how much of a difference it makes! I like to do lots of research before I purchase my makeup products and after asking around and reading tons and tons of reviews online I settled with the IT cosmetics micro powder.  The price point was decent and it seemed to have a lot more benefits than a lot of other brands.  The first thing that I read about the powder was that it contained hydro collagen which would smooth and blur any lines on your face as well as reducing the appearance of pores.  If you have oily/acne prone skin then you'll know too well that large pores can be accentuated with makeup so it's always important to find something that will help blur them! The other benefits of this powder was that it contain antioxidants as well as vitamin K which would help discolouration.  What I liked the most was what the product didn't have! It was free of mineral oils (which can potentially block pores), parabens, SLS, talc, synthetic fragrance and phthalates which would make it a suitable option for those who have sensitive skin.  The product itself was easy to use as it came in a round jar.  In order to not get too much of the product and create wastage, I would pour a little bit of the powder onto the cap, use my large powder brush to dab it into the powder and then proceed to blend it all over my face.  The powder itself is white in colour but when you put it on it's translucent and doesn't leave a white cast.  I put it on everywhere and put a tad bit more on my T zone which tends to get oily fairly quickly.  The powder was great at absorbing any excess oil on my face and keeping my skin matte and shine free.  It didn't leave my skin feeling dry or tight, nor did it settle into any wrinkles or pores that I had.  In fact my face looked so smooth and poreless, it was amazing.  I would even put a bit of the powder onto my eyelids before putting on my eye makeup as it would absorb any oil and make the eyeshadow adhere much better.  It was also great at setting my concealer which would prevent it from creasing and settling into fine lines.  Whenever I would use the powder I would find that my foundation would last much longer and look much better throughout the day.  There wouldn't be much fading and my skin would manage to have minimal amounts of oil and shine.  Instead of touching up my makeup I would use this powder to keep my face looking fresh.  It's something I cannot live without and overall it's a wonderful face powder that works well for all skin types and will have your makeup looking better for longer! My skin however is both oily and shine prone and dry, so I needed a product that would set any makeup I wore, without the need for re-applying, that wouldn’t dry me out further and really would control shine while looking matte and natural. Not too much to ask for from one product right, well my makeup prayers were answered in full with this It cosmetics bye bye pores silk hd anti-ageing micro powder. After double cleansing and applying serum and moisturiser and a light application of the cc cream, I swirled my large powder brush into a small amount of this beautiful fine powder, tapped off the excess and swirled and buffed it over my entire face of makeup and was done in a couple of minutes. I now had skin that was smooth, even, shine free yet still radiant and illuminated and my makeup stayed right where it was supposed to all day long until my evening routine, plus the powder didn’t settle into lines or dry patches and looked like my natural skin, blurred to perfection, not caked on or fake in any way. A little bit goes a very long way, the price is definitely right and the condition of my skin improves with every single use. Add the pretty packaging and all my makeup needs and wants are definitely met.
