Karen Murrell Natural Lip Pencil

I first heard about Karen Murrell when I was shopping in Fiji. I bought the lipstick in shade Coral Dawn and I had to buy the matching lip liner. It is a creamy formula and applies so easily. I don't get any of the dreaded cracking or dryness that some other lip liners cause. The lip brush on the other end is an added bonus and I sometimes use that to soften the lines and to also apply lipstick.  I have nothing negative to say. It's a natural, eco-friendly quality product and well-priced. 

I’m not normally a lip pencil person but I’ve been hearing so much about Karen Murrell and when I saw these at my local Priceline on special I couldn’t resist.  The colour I bought was Cordovan and it’s a beautiful natural brown pink which is barely noticeable on my lips but which really defines and enlivens my natural colour.  As the pencil is super soft and goes on easily, I find I can wear this alone with a touch of balm on top and don’t need lipstick as well. I particularly like the handy brush that comes with the pencil - without it, it’s a pretty pricy lipliner but if you consider that the brush is also part of it, it’s not bad value at all since it’s a good brush and really helps ensure good coverage with the liner.  The pencil can also be used with lipstick (KM has a matching shade which I’m planning on getting as I really like the colour) and it lasts a very long time without drying out the lips. I only wear natural products these days and Karen Murrell fits the bill.  These liners have all sorts of lovely ingredients like jojoba oil, candelilla, and Vitamin E, and contain nothing you don’t want on your lips like parabens and petroleum (yech).  They’re cruelty free of course (another must for me), use eco-packaging, and smell wonderful - not overbearing but like soft orange oil and vanilla.  In short, I really love this liner which does double duty and lasts perfectly.
