L’Oréal Paris Telescopic Carbon Mascara is a mascara with intense carbon black pigments. It helps create long and intense lashes with a formula that uses fining dispersing agents to coat each lash from root to tip. Ion fix technology fixes the formula onto lashes so they look visibly lengthened. The mascara features carbon black pigments for an intense opaque and black finish and uses a multi-comb brush to separate and lift lashes.

The brush is definitely one-of-a-kind. Reminds me so much of a saw-shark. It's kind of exactly what it looks like. It doesn't do a great job at separating lashes, but it does inject it with a whole lotta carbon-black pigment and volume. The pigment comes very close to that of the Better Than Sex mascaras. It didn't flake or smuge on me which is a huge bonus. Overall I liked it, but not enough to repurchase it as I prefer a more fluttery, fanned out look. However, L'Oreal have the best mascaras at the drug store in my opinion.
Hands down, this is one of my favourite beauty products in life! If I was stranded on a island and only able to have 1 beauty product it would definetly be this mascara. This mascara does wonders to my eyelashes as it has a comb, instead of a brush-like wand on the end to really grasp onto my lashes and really extends them to make my lashes look thick and long. I know lots of people are not a fan of the clumpy lashes but in my opinion I absolutely love it. I feel that this gives my lashes the desired length I want so I don't need to wear false lashes all the time. I normally do 2 coats of mascara, I do the first coat first on my top and bottom lashes and then repeat. The reason why I wait for it to dry is so it can add length and volume, as it would be hard to do so when wet. I find this mascara to be easily removed by makeup wipes (my favourite wipes to use would be the Swisspers brand) or any eye makeup remover. No cons about this product, although will note it does fall under 'higher end price' for drugstore products, retailed at $27 AUD. Previously, I was using higher end makeup brands for mascara and price ranging from $40-60 so I am happy to pay $27 for a drugstore product I love over a higher end brand. However, I always do look out for cosmetic sales usually at Priceline and target.. so if anyone is on the look out for a new mascara I would definetly recommend this mascara for those who love long, whispy and dramatic eyelashes. If anyone does follow famous beauty blogger and YouTuber Carli Bybel , she is who brought this product to my attention as this is her favourite mascara and is talked about in lots of her videos. I am so happy to have found my holy grail mascara.
After running out of my beloved Benefit They're Real mascara during a time when I unfortunately didn't have the option of being able to repurchase it due to it's price, I went into Chemist Warehouse in search of a cheaper alternative. After first looking up reviews I found that this mascara had tonnes of great feedback and so decided to give it a go as It was only $14 on sale, and I haven't purchased another mascara since! Honestly found my Holy Grail drugstore mascara.  Firstly, this mascara's wand is really thin and the bristles hard and sparse, allowing for your lashes to be separated and not clumped together. It's reminiscent of the Benefit mascara wand and perhaps that's why I like it so much, it's just slighter smaller which is even a bonus when applying to your lower lashes. Secondly, the formula is the perfect consistency - not too wet or dry. However I did find that it turned a bit chunkier and drier over time but this is over a couple of months so it's nothing major. Additionally, there is no nauseating scent that some mascaras have which is always a bonus. Finally, the wear of the mascara over time is impressive. It only transfer to my lower lashline slighter after an entire days wear, and that's an achievement coming from someone with excessively oily eyelids.  This mascara can easily be removed with makeup wipes or any makeup remover - this is where i would recommend this mascara over it's waterproof counterpart. The waterproof one tends to be ridiculously stubborn and still appears to remain on your lashes even after using makeup remover. This one's longevity is just as good as the waterproof one anyhow.  The biggest con would have to be the price. At $27 it is on the higher end price wise of drugstore mascaras. However, with Priceline and Chemist Warehouse constantly having cosmetics sales I would definitely recommend picking this up to try if you're on the lookout for a new mascara. It's still cheaper than higher end ones, and gives the same if not better results. It's not often you can find a drugstore item that is easily comparable to it's higher end counterparts and I am so glad I did!
