Slightly waxy lip balm with SPF 15

This is one of Nivea's many lip balms in their 'melt-in' Lip care series. The formula contains naturally derived oils and SPF 15 protection. It is a lip balm comes with the same lightweight plastic packaging and a twist-up design which is very practical. It's easy to take on the go. This one feels a bit more waxy compared to the Hydro SPF 15, even though the ingredients lists are very similar. It forms a protective layer, but I wouldn't say that it "leaves (lips) moisturised for 24 hours" as claimed. Used alone, I still need to re-apply this throughout the day. However, it works quite well as a base for lipstick because it isn't too 'wet' and stays in place. It has a faint scent but nothing offensive. Overall, it's still a decent and affordable product. I would recommend the Hydro SPF 15 over this one though, that one just feels a bit more hydrating to me.

Great hydration

Bought this for my husband when he was on Roaccutane to help with the dry lips. He tried many brands but he didn’t like any of them and he found they were just not as effective at keeping his lips hydrated like the nivea branded ones. We like this one, the ‘essential’ and the ‘protect and repair’ of this. Have repurchased so many times, lost count! He has been off roaccutane for a while now but he is hooked on these and won’t stop using them. I stock up when they are on sale (they are cheap at full price!!). Highly recommended
Nivea repair and protect lip balm is a great everyday balm for when you need a hydration hit and a bit of spf if you’re going to be out in the sun for a while. I keep a tube of this in my glove box all year round. It’s a thicker type balm than most but it’s long lasting and very comfortable on the lips. It’s not thick or slippery and lasts for hours. I wouldn’t  use it as my main lip product but for semi regular use it’s definitely my go to. I think I’ll always have one in my car.
The Nivea Lip Care Repair and Protection is a must have for dried or cracked lips. The packaging is convenient; a wind-up stick, with a push on cap, which doesn't dry the actual lip balm product out. The SPF 15 is an added bonus, as I tend to not protect my lips as much. The formula is super creamy, and glides onto the lips well. The scent is very minor yet refreshing. The product lasts several hours, before having to be reapplied. For the cheap price, I highly recommend Nivea Lip Care!
This is a very good lip balm and I like that it comes with SPF as I always tend to neglect sun protection on my lips. Like all other Nivea lip balms it comes in a twist tube with a big cap. The balm itself is quite stiff and it is good for many uses (at least 2-3 months even when used a few times a day). I particularly like the transparent finish of this lip balm, as I have used some other Nivea lip balms before that gave me a white sheen which I did not like. I feel that this lip balm is more suitable for summer. I use it in winter and I do not find it moisturises enough for my dry lips. It wears off after a couple of hours. Before I started using this lip balm I used lanolips ointment, and I much prefer the ointment as I feel that it is more hydrating. Nevertheless I think this lip balm can be a good option for summer.
NIVEA Repair & Protect Lip Balm is a lip balm that contains SPF 15 for protection against UVA and UVB rays. Formulated for dry lips. The lip balm comes in typical packaging for this kind of product. A 4.8 g tube, that you simply wind up to apply. It is a thick product with a peppermint scent. I suffer from dry and peeling lips. Using a lip scrub as well as lip balm helps, but there are times when a balm doesn't even give me relief. This can last for a week or 2.I can forget wearing a lipstick during these episodes. This is what I was experiencing when this lip balm arrived. As soon as I applied, I felt relief. The balm is thick, but once applied warms on the lips, it smooths and is not sticky or tacky. Upon application I get a cooling sensation on my lips which is very soothing. I like that my lips are also protected from the sun with the lip balm having an SPF of 15. The only issue I have is that I feel that I have to reapply often throughout the day. Being budget friendly certainly helps, but the relief I get makes this worth it. I have other lip balms that need using, but I can't help reaching for the Nivea Repair and Protect Lip Balm instead. I recommend it to anyone that suffers from dry lips.
i use this lip balm as a moisteriser before applying my lipstick. i find that it helps my lipstick go on smoother giving my lips a natural look. However, if you have dry cracked lips, it will take some time for your lips to feel moist and soft. i would recommend applying it 10 mins prior to putting lipstick on.
When first applied to lip the product does need a little bit of pressure to the lip for the product to be applied. It feels a little thicker than most lip balms, possibly due to the spf and moisture factor. It comes out clear and thin and doesn't smell of any particular scent. When applied to the lip it does feel a bit thick on the lips, however once you let it sit on the lips for 10 min you start to feel the lip balm thinning and moisturising the lips. There are signs of softness and smoothness throughout the rest of the day once applied. My initial thoughts after using the product is that it does do its job and does have positive effects, especially in winter for moisture and spf protection. When using the product for 2 continuous weeks i had seen significant positive changes in my lip, they were no longer cracked and dry.  The pros are it works, not too expensive, don't need to apply much everyday, lasts a solid 1/2yr for daily continuous use. Cons- you do need to apply pressure and apply a generous amount which might feel thick in the lip. I would recommend this for anyone who has dried and cracked lips. Works well overall.
