Messy to apply.

I did not like using this nail polish and the only reason being the shape of the brush - it was so wide and short that it was impossible for me to apply it neatly. I did enjoy the color (071 Gilty Pleasure) and the consistency of the polish. I never had to apply a second coat, because the first one was thick enough and stayed on really well, but since the applying part was such a mess, I wouldn't buy it again nor recommend it.
The Rimmel Super Gel lamp free system is one of the newer ones to hit the market, following in the foot steps of other drugstore brands. This two step system is quick and easy - all you have to do is go over the nails with two coats of the colour without a base coat, then finish it off with the top coat. This is meant to last up to 14 days, but I only had it on for 3 chip free days before I took it off. I do quite like the top coat, and I also use it with other nail polishes. While I found found certain other top coats to be shinier, I do love this for the convenience. Soul Session is a gorgeous nude shade that is great for a barely there beautiful set of nails. I can see myself getting a lot of use out of this one! I found the formula to be relatively smooth, although one nail did get a little bubbly, but I shook the bottle before I went over the nails, so it could have been that. I found some improvement with just rolling it. You can pick from a total of 14 shades and each bottle is $9.95 and you can get them from Target, Kmart and Big W.
For a comfortable, long-wearing, easy-to-apply nail polish from a trusted brand, the Rimmel London Super Gel series sit at a lower price point than major nail titans OPI and Essie, but doesn't lose out on quality. The application is smooth, non-streaky, and two thin layers will bring the colours to full opacity with no base coat required. Although the collection is small and the shades limited (currently 14 colours available in store), there is a decent spectrum to work with, from pastels to bold to pearly lustre.  The two shades I constantly find myself reaching for are #13 Bare Hug - a gorgeously understated lavender grey neutral tone that looks great with everything and never ceases to bring me compliments, and #51 Shallow Bay - a pretty pastel green that looks very similar to the famous Tiffany blue. Another favourite is #32 Cocktail Passion - a delightful pinky coral shade reminiscent of peach sorbet, perfect for Summer days. This range is designed to be used in conjunction with the Rimmel London Super Gel Top Coat for a salon-style gel finish without the time, money and UV light you'd normally require for maximum shine. You can do this in the comfort of your home - two light coats and a thin layer of top coat should be done and dried in one episode of Seinfeld, and it'll look just as good as a trip to the salon (provided you don't laugh too hard and ruin your application). Alternatively, I like to use Sally Hansen Big Matte Top Coat instead of the Gel Top Coat to achieve a matte finish on my nail polish. Both top coats apply easily, dry fairly quickly, and help increase the longevity of your polish. By itself, I'd estimate the nail polish to last up to two weeks without major chips, but that obviously depends on your lifestyle. For me, it has varied between three days to three weeks.  Overall, I would definitely recommend this range to all nail enthusiasts out there. It's a great quality product for a reasonable price, I only wish there were more unique shades I can add to my growing collection.
These gel polishes are so great ! You don't need a light to cure the polish and they come in a wide range of colours. I've found I can get two weeks of wear on my fingernails and over a month of wear on my toenails. It works best applied directly onto the nail (no base coat) and you only need two coats of colour and one coat of top coat. The top coat can get a little thick with bubbles appearing on the nail but when applied thinly, it works a treat.
I bought this in colour 'Venus' the deep red, it's glossy and professional looking! No bumps or chips so far, The price is a little high but cheaper than having gel applied in a salon! Great results i highly recommend.
