Yves Saint Laurent Beauté Black Opium EDP

Every time I remove the lid off my bottle my scenes are filled with such a spicy but smooth and sweet warmth comforting scent. Sweet Vanilla base notes mellowed by coffee, pink pepper, orange blossom, jasmine, patchouli and cedar. Ever since I was a child following everything my mum did like her I apply my purfume to the pulse points of my skin finishing off with a spray over my outfit. Long lasting I always get a compliment or two when wearing this and get asked what it is I’m wearing. Great for occasions or everyday wear this perfume packs a subtle punch. I would recommend this perfume to those that love a bold with gentle outgoing scent.

Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium perfume has notes of mandarin essence, pink pepper essence and pear accord, middle notes are orange blossom, jasmine, bitter almond and licorice, with the base notes of coffee, patchouli, cedarwood, and vanilla. With a name like Black Opium, I was expecting a dark spicy floral, but I found this to be an easy to wear perfume. It is a sweet fruity floriental grounded with coffee and vanilla. This fragrance is so versatile, not limited to particular season or occasion or even age. The sillage is decent, lasting best when I spray on my clothes. I don't find this perfume to be too loud, so could easily be worn in the work place. I can't give a 5 star rating because of the price. To me at least, I've smelled just as nice options in a more budget friendly range. In saying that, I do enjoy wearing Black Opium and can certainly understand the appeal.

I am usually the biggest floral scent person but I received a travel/handbag size and was so glad I did because I love it. It is definitely more of a stronger tone then what I usually would go for but still has sweet notes, the perfect balance between sweet and spicy. It has floral with black coffee as top note, a shot of adrenaline. Heart note is white floral while vanilla is the base note. The perfume is long lasting and have found I don’t need to re apply it throughout the day, I like this as the cost is more of a high end price I find value in that it is long lasting. I would recommend this to anyone that's looking for a warm, sweet, spicy scent.

My all time favourite perfume! I only wear this on occasions, but I always receive so many compliments for it, from both girls and guys. I find it lasts all day, or all night. I can still smell the scent on my clothes the next day or two later (until they've gone in the washing machine). I find this scent is perfect for women in their youth. I am 19, and I have been told I definitely suit this scent. It's perfect, the right scent can really boost your confidence. I recommend this perfume to young women. I spray some on my neck, beneath the ears, and my wrists. I have been told that's the best place to spray perfume.

I remember the moment I sampled this product (4 years ago!) - WOW. I immediately bought the full size and it was the quickest perfume I have emptied to date. I usually go for floral perfumes, and decided to venture out with this purchase. This perfume was a hit of fierce, sexy and sweet all at once. I loved this perfume, and always received compliments - especially from my husband! The scent can be overwhelming at first, but it softens into a subtle scent that will last all day. If you have a hot date coming up, reach for this perfume!

One of my favourite perfumes of all times. I recently purchased my second bottle as this scent reminds me of the summer times. It's very last longing and unforgettable. Highly recommend!

This has been my favourite fragrance for years. I first received a sample and was so in love with it that I bought the full size version. It's intoxicating and I've had compliments on how lovely I smell which rarely happens. Unfortunately it's expensive for me, so it's something I can't afford to buy often. I did recently buy the Hair Mist version as a cheaper alternative to smelling wonderful, and I'm very glad I did. I am yet to try the other variations of the Black Opium scent, but this one is amazing as it is!

A crowd pleaser. Safe fragrance to wear. Not too strong . Generic. Coffee vanilla with hint of other something (bitter almond), but predominantly soft sweet creamy coffee vanilla. Lasts on clothing for couple of days. On skin about 6-8 hours. Projection not too strong, just average for designer perfumes. Look, nothing special, wearable. Good office scent. Still, being so ordinary, it is good and versatile.

I was gifted a deluxe sample of Black Opium EDP and I fell in love with the fragrance instantly. It’s strong, sultry, sophisticated and sexy all in one, and you instantly get a swing in your step as soon as it’s on. A small amount is recommended as it’s quite a strong fragrance but the staying power is incredible, it easily lasts all day.

Black opium has been my favourite product for as long as I can remember! The packaging is obviously to die for but the smell! It is nothing like the original opium . It is sweet and feminine but can be worn from day to night. The coffee and orange together is such a nice mix. This is always a repurchase of mine.

I was always a lover of Yves Saint Laurent original Opium fragrance but it had become a bit old fashion scented.  Black Opium is a modern version for a sophisticated strong woman who wants to be in charge.  This fragrance turns heads and gives you confidence.  even the package is sexy and sophisticated.

Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Smells Devine it have a floral fragrance, which is long lasting,  sexy and all round amazing, this brand definitely don’t do things by halves, amazing brand amazing scent and come in an absolutely beautiful bottle, this is not for someone who wants a light fragrance it’s a strong hit of beautiful, of class, of sexy, for all aged women. This fragrance is worth the money, just to smell this amazing.

Black Opium is my all time favourite perfume. I look forward to putting this on every time I go out of the house. Before I bought this product I would smell it on people and after a few times of being told "it's YSL Black Opium", I had to buy it myself. I've been complimented a few times by strangers on the scent and its totally worth the price. You don't need to be drowned in the scent and the sweetness lingers for hours. I would recommend this perfume to anyone and will continue to keep buying it forever.

The YSL Black Opium perfume is such an elegant, feminine and sophisticated perfume.  Every time I wear it I always get compliments with people asking me what I'm wearing.  First of all the bottle is just beautiful.  It's all black and has glitter/shimmer all over it which reminds me of a dress you would wear in the evening.  The fragrance itself is amazing! At first I wasn't sure if I would like it because I knew it had coffee notes in it.  I've tried perfumes with coffee in the past and it smelled horrible but in this fragrance it worked SO well! I think the coffee scent wasn't too strong and it added some depth to it to counteract the sweetness.  The major note that I absolutely love is Vanilla which is probably why it's one of my favourites.  I'm a sucker for anything vanilla but this wasn't over the type and didn't have that sickly sweet scent.  It also had notes of orange blossom, pear, Jasmine, pink pepper and bitter almond for a unique yet delectable scent.  It's a warm, yet slightly spicy scent which is why it's perfect during the winter.  I like to wear this for special occasions and it always makes me feel so beautiful.

This fragrance is stunning! If you like warm, vanilla, spicy scents, you will love this perfume. It is so feminine and sexy and wearable during day or night. I find that I can wear this fragrance all year round, even in summer. It is sweet without being cloying and suffocating and never gives me a headache (unlike the original Opium!). The only downside to this perfume is that it is SUPER popular so you will notice that many people are wearing it! It smells so good though!

Warm, sultry and sexy would be the three words I'd use to describe this fragrance.  I have a couple of the other black "variants" but this one is still my favourite cold weather scent.  It is warm, spicy, but sweet as well thanks to the vanilla.  It's a beautiful, sophisticated scent and suits day or night.  A little is all you need, it lingers in the most delightful way and begins spicy and gradually moves and settles into a warmer, sweeter and slightly floral scent - beautiful and I always love the cooler weather as it means I can wear it more.

I absolutely love this perfume. I bought it in 2015 and it has last me til now because I tried so hard to savior it. I love the packaging and I find that it's not too feminine either. It's perfect for all season too, in my opinion. I always received compliments whenever I wear it. I have a very low tolerance for strong smells but this one is just perfect. Still long lasting but not overwhelming

I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about this perfume! From the coffee base to the gorgeous bottle, I am ALWAYS getting compliments when I wear it, or comments like "who smells so good?". The only downfall is that my teenage daughter also loves it, and it quite often ends up in her room instead of mine! I guess I should take it as a compliment that she thinks I have good taste!

I don’t usually get excited about perfume but I just discovered the YSL Black Opium fragrance and think it’s amazing!!  Admittedly I don’t love the packaging (but I like that it stands out) - I prefer more simple and elegant glass bottles but I don’t care because the scent is so beautiful! It has subtle hints of vanilla and coffee that compliments the citrus and patchouli notes.  This perfume is perfectly balanced to gift a soft and feminine scent that is long lasting without being too strong or harsh.  I will definitely be repurchasing this and recommending to friends and family :) 

YSL Black Opium is the ultimate fragrance! The bottle oozes luxury, it smells like the perfect combination of floral and vanilla, and makes you feel like a sexy confident woman whilst wearing it! I used the bottlel within a year, and it's the one perfume I keep repurchasing! It lasts me all day and night, which is something that never happens with other brands. It's definitely a 10/10, and I'm very fussy when it comes to selecting perfumes!
