Inika Certified Organic Lip Serum

Gosh, this was an absolute treat to use! I am MAJORLY obsessed with lip balms, serums and treatments and I will try anything that looks interesting and different. I was immediately drawn to this one by Inika. I actually haven't used anything by Inika before despite having heard of them. I couldn't believe how packed full of delicious ingredients this beauty was made up of. I mainly used this at night after showering and before bed as it stays on my bedside table. It is luscious and soft and oh so moisturising without feeling thick or heavy and I didn't need to use too much either. In the morning, my lips still felt hydrated and soft and I have not had chapped lips since!! This is a wonder product and worth every cent. I don't regard this as being pricey given how many benefits I have seen and how long it has lasted me. I definitely put this on top of other more expensive lip serums and treatments I have used and will most definitely purchase again when I run out. 

I have more lip balms and ointments than I can count but that still doesn't mean I'm going to stop purchasing them! I always have a need for them as my lips are always dry and I like to keep at least one in every bag that I have so I'm always prepared.  I never really paid attention to the ingredients in the products that I was buying.  It turns out that a lot of the lip balms I was purchasing had a lot of chemicals in them and weren't giving my lips the hydration that it needed.  I started to be more mindful of what I was buying and ensuring that the ingredients were of high quality so that my lips were being treated and not just at a superficial level.  Being somewhat familiar with the Inika brand and having tried a few of their products I did some research on their website and found that they sold their own version of lip balm.  Instead it was called a lip serum and it looked much fancier and nicer than other lip treatment products.  The first thing that I took notice to was that it was organic meaning that their ingredients did not contain chemicals or additives that can be harmful to your skin.  The brand is also cruelty free and vegan, meaning that it does not test on animals and none of the ingredients contain animal products which shows that they're an ethical company.  While that information is important, the determining factor was the list of ingredients.  I wanted to make sure that this lip serum would effectively hydrate my dry, cracked and flaky lips.  It contained a huge list of nourishing ingredients that I was sure would help heal and protect my lips.  Some of the ingredients are shea butter, jojoba oil, rosehip oil, sunflower seed oil and vitamin E.  I decided to purchase the product and try it out, hoping to banish my dry lips.  The applicator made it easy to apply the serum and I could get a good coating of the product on my lips without it being saturated or gooey.  The good thing about this product is that it isn't sticky or heavy.  It's a lightweight coating on your lips that leaves a glossy shine for a natural look while taking care of your lips.  For everyday, I just wear it on its own but it can also be used underneath other lip products like lipstick or lipgloss for an extra layer of hydration and to prevent your lips from drying out.  You can also add it on top of your lipstick for some shine.  After using it for only a week, I found that the status of my lips had improved greatly.  They were not as dry as before and a lot of the flaking and cracked skin had gone away.  It wasn't as sensitive as before when I would touch it.  My lips would absorb the serum and reap all the benefits, keeping it soft and plump.  Only a small amount of the product is needed and you can apply it as little or as much as you need.  For me, the Inika lip serum worked better than any other lip treatment product that I tried.  It didn't cause any irritation or sensitivities and would work well for even the most sensitive skin.  It is a bit on the pricey side but with that said your lips will thank you for it!
