Ricki-Lee’s look-good beauty essentials
Her top tips for healthier hair and skin
We can’t decide what we love more about singer/songwriter Ricki-Lee Coulter – her incredible voice, her flawless skin or her luscious long hair. While there’s not much we can do to match her voice, we did speak to the Aussie beauty for her top hair and skin care tips. Take note.
What’s your idea of a perfect hair day?
"It’s when my hair feels silky-smooth and strong. I love a slight wave through the mid-lengths and volume at the root."
How do you keep your hair looking so good?
"I use Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo and Conditioner. If I’m working, I will generally only wash my hair two or three times a week. If not, I will only style my hair once a week and the rest of the time it lives up in a topknot."
Biggest skin concern?
"I have extremely dry skin, so my focus is always keeping it moisturised. I moisturise my whole body every morning after a shower, and every night before bed. I used to have these weird white spots on my arms that just wouldn’t go away. I now use Cetaphil Intensive Moisturising Cream and Alpha Keri Shower and Body Oil. My skin has never been better!"
Favourite beauty trick?
"I work out every day, but I only wash my hair a few times a week – to keep my hair looking fresh, I use dry shampoo."
"Tom Ford Jasmin Rouge. It’s so sexy!"
Low or high maintenance?
"I like to think I am low maintenance, but I am definitely high maintenance. I am very particular about every product I use, the order in which I use things, and I have a routine I will not budge on. It makes me anxious just thinking about the slightest change to my routine!"
What’s your beauty philosophy as you age?
"I grew up on the Gold Coast – and didn’t exactly take the best care of my skin. But since my early 20s, I’ve been aware of staying out of the sun. When I am in the sun, I use a SPF 50 sunscreen every hour."
What beauty advice would you pass onto a younger you?
"Drinking water is your friend!"
What’s your beauty indulgence?
"I love a facial, and I give myself an at-home hair treatment - I light some candles, play music, have a bath and pop on the treatment."
