SOOBIN is making a very good case for savouring every step in your skincare routine
Gold peptides, a colour-changing mask and SOOBIN-level skin? Say less
There are two kinds of skincare routines: the kind where you carefully work in every serum, give your eye cream a minute to sink in and generally behave like someone who has their life together, and the kind where you slap everything on in approximately 45 seconds because you should have gone to bed an hour ago.
If SOOBIN’s routine (and quite frankly, his glossy skin) are anything to go by, option A is looking pretty appealing. There’s a mask that turns gold as you work it in (um, incredible), an eye serum with a heart-shaped cooling applicator, and even a warm fragrance woven through the formulas to make the whole ritual that much more enjoyable.
Suddenly, taking our time sounds tempting.
Gold Peptides (and rather chic gold packaging) are the common threads between the four products.
The twice-weekly Gold Peptides Mask ($225 at Myer) pairs the Gold Peptides (which, yes, are indeed peptides fused with actual gold) with niacinamide and Argireline, while the Gold Peptides Eye Serum ($160 at Myer) adds Argireline, primrose stem cells and hyaluronic acid into the equation. There’s also the lightweight, milky Gold Peptides Face Serum ($231 at Myer), formulated with sunflower extract, and the richer Gold Peptides Face Cream ($256 at Myer), where vegan PDRN and geranium extract join the mix.
Four products, four slightly different roles, all designed with smoother, plumper and more luminous-looking skin in mind. And with only four steps from start to finish, committing to the whole routine still feels refreshingly doable.
And really, after spending this long looking at SOOBIN’s skin, we’re feeling unusually motivated to give all four a fair go.
If our skin ends up looking even half as glossy, we’ll consider that time very well spent.
