As we’re all becoming more savvy and knowledgeable when it comes to the world of beauty, products and the ingredients that go in them, it’s rare that we buy a product without doing some research beforehand. And perhaps one of the best and easiest ways to determine whether or not a product will work for us is to read reviews from fellow beauty addicts who have personally tried the product you’re thinking about buying.
To save you a serious amount of time trawling through hundreds of thousands of product reviews, we’ve put together a list of 10 of the highest rated products on the Internet that we know you’re going to what to check out, stat.
Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette
With over 300 reviews and a 4.7 star rating on Mecca, you don’t need much more proof that this set of 12 golden and smoky neutral eyeshadows is a makeup essential that every beauty lover needs to add to their kit (if you haven’t already).
Maybelline New York Face Studio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter
This newbie has been touted as the more affordable dupe to Fenty Beauty’s Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Trophy Wife for its ability to leave a striking metallic sheen on the skin. And our Review Crew® seem to agree, giving the illuminator 4.5 stars.
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herb and Rosewater
From a hydrating mist to makeup setting spray and dry hair refresher, there isn’t much this skin quencher can’t do. That may be why this $9 beauty bargain has scored 4.5 stars from 411 reviews on Mecca.
Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam
There’s little better than nailing the perfect fake tan and walking into work the following morning looking like a bronzed goddess. And according to reviews this Bondi Sands classic does just that, which is why it’s earned itself 4.5 stars by reviewers on the brands’ own website.
Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer
Nothing beats achieving the perfect, smooth blow-dry, which is why this high-tech gadget has been on everyone’s Christmas wish list at one point or another in the past few years. And for those who were able to fork out the $549, it seems their investment paid off. The hairdryer has received a rating of 4 stars from nearly 1600 reviews on Dyson’s website.
This argan oil-infused hair product is a conditioner, styling serum and finishing product all in one. It promises to detangle, control frizz and strengthen hair – and according to our members (who awarded this hair oil 4.5 stars), it delivers on its claims.
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
Based on 916 reviews and a 4.5-star rating on Mecca, it seems this full-coverage concealer’s claim to diminish the appearance of dark circles and fine lines while leaving the skin looking soft and smooth is every bit true.
Lancôme Advanced Génifique
Just shy of receiving a 5-star review by our Review Crew® (it’s currently sitting on 4.6 stars), this serum has been given high praise for delivering radiant, even and youthful-looking skin.
LUSH Sleepy Body Lotion
This oatmeal and lavender-infused lotion received cult-like status last year as thousands of consumers flocked to the Internet declaring that it had cured their insomnia. It’s so effective the lotion has maintained a 5-star rating on the brands’ Australian site for months!
