4 ways to enhance your favourite features

Put the spotlight on your arms, legs, hands and décolletage

Here at Beauty Crew, we’re all about embracing our natural features - from totally owning your wavy hair, to rocking glowing skin without makeup, we’ve got you covered.

So we were extremely intrigued by a study conducted by the American Psychological Association; according to the research, women’s dissatisfaction with their bodies has decreased by 3.3 points. The clever people behind Women’s Health US investigated further, and it turns out that 3.3 points equates to 28 per cent over the past 31 years, which is definitely something to celebrate! It’s certainly a huge feat and a step in the right direction.

Seeing that summer is in full swing, it seems like the perfect time for your body to take centre stage; here’s how to highlight your best features.

1

If you want to show off your decolletage

Whether you’re wearing a low-cut top or a strappy summer dress, your neck and chest area will be on show. In this case, highlight and enhance the area with a glimmering body lotion like Jbronze Shimmer Instant Illuminizer where the tiny sparkling particles will catch the light and give the area a healthy glow.

2

If you want to show off your arms

Smooth and brighten skin with a body exfoliator to eliminate dead skin or even address greater issues like keratosis pilaris - those small red bumps that can appear on the upper arm area. Swisse Sea Salt Body Polish contains coconut shell to slough away dry skin and rich plant seed oils to nourish and hydrate your arms at the same time.

3

If you want to show off your hands and nails

An eye-catching mani, especially in a summery tone like pink or orange, is the perfect thing to bring attention to your hands and nails. If you’re DIYing at home, prep your nails with a buffer, apply a base coat, then carefully paint on two coats of an opaque polish (like Essie Nail Colour in Double Breasted Jacket). Don’t forget to finish your look off with a top coat to lengthen the wear and prevent chipping.

TOP TIP: When painting your nails, leave a thin strip of the nail surface unpainted on either side to give the illusion of longer looking nails.

4

If you want to show off your legs

Show your pins some love this season with a moisturising dry oil. It’ll keep your legs hydrated without feeling heavy or sticky, which is ideal this season. Our top pick is Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse, which brings together six precious oils (like hazelnut, sweet almond and camellia) in one award-winning formula.
