TikTok star (and Kardashian bestie) Addison Rae may be known (and loved) for her viral dance videos, but our favourite content from her is a little different – we’re actually obsessed with the clips that revolve entirely around her zooming in on her face. Why, you ask? Because her makeup is always amazing.
From her signature spider lashes to her muted mauve lippy, we’re always screenshotting her stuff in an attempt to identify exactly which products she’s picked up to create each look. Luckily for us (and our phone storage – those screenshots are really building up), she’s finally spilled all her makeup must-haves.
“I learned how to do my makeup from my mum,” she explained of her skills via a recent Vogue video. “When I was growing up she was a makeup artist. Also, growing up in competitive dance, you learn how to do your makeup because stage makeup is super fun; like red lipstick and glittery eyeshadow and fake eyelashes.”
Her everyday approach, on the other hand, is definitely a little more natural. “I like a good dewy makeup look that is really glowy and fresh and simple,” she shared. Same, girl, same.
Keen to know exactly which products she uses on the daily? Here they are…
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation
“I use the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation – I’ll usually take my setting spray that I use at the end of my makeup and wet my beauty blender with it, and then I put my foundation on my hand and put it all over my face. From there I blend with my sponge.”
Beauty Counter Colour Pinch Cream Blusher Stick in Caramel
“For blush I use the Beauty Counter Blush Stick in Caramel – I usually just take it on my finger and rub it around just so it’s warmed up a little bit, and then I just dab it on my cheeks. I also put it on my nose and go for a sunburnt-ish look during the day, because for some reason I just really like that.” FYI, this guy isn’t currently available in Aus, but this blush and bronzer hybrid will deliver a similar sun-kissed effect.
Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand in Goldgasm
“[For illuminator], I go in with the Charlotte Tilbury Highlighting Wand in Goldgasm and I just take the end and dab it on the spots that I want to highlight – normally under the eyebrow, [above the cheekbone], and two dots on the sides of my foreheads [close to the temples]. Then I go back in with my same sponge and just blend that out.”
Patrick Ta Major Brow Shaping Wax in Clear
“For brows I use the Patrick Ta [setting wax]. I [use it to] just brush the eyebrows up to a shape that I like – I’m not the best at this because I’ve grown up with really thick eyebrows so I never filled them in or done gels or anything like that up until this past year. Now I just really like having a nice brushed-up big eyebrow look.” Ta’s line also doesn't ship to Australia right now, but this clear wax alternative will definitely do the trick.
NARS Lipstick in Banned Red
"NARS Lipstick in Banned Red is my all-time favourite lipstick colour and I use it every single day. I think I’ve used it for the past three years and I cannot get over this shade.”
