The unassuming face mist that soothes signs of irritation fast

Here’s what our Review Crew® had to say about this fine, fast-absorbing mist

The product

A face mist is one of those skin care products that you think you don’t need but then somehow can’t live without once you’ve added it to your routine. Especially if you have sensitive skin, a quick soothing spritz can make a world of difference, transforming red, irritated skin into a healthy, balanced complexion.

Enter: Avène Thermal Spring Water, a soothing, lightweight fine mist that quickly targets signs of inflammation such as redness, skin discomfort and tightness, as well as eczema and psoriasis, sunburn, razor burn, itching, post-depilatory irritation, and nappy rash for fast relief.

Our panel of Review Crew® testers put this balancing face mist to the test.

The panel

Beauty Crew sent Avène Thermal Spring Water to a panel of women aged 18 to 35 with sensitive skin.

The lowdown

Here’s what the Review Crew® loved about the Avène Thermal Spring Water.

The way it soothed skin: Our members loved how they were able to quickly soothe any irritation, eczema or psoriasis flare-ups with just a spritz of the cooling face mist. Plus, the mini travel size made the perfect addition to their handbags for on-the-go relief.

The hydrating properties of the thermal spring water: Review Crew members liked how the face mist helped to prep their skin for their serums and moisturisers, helping to effectively lock in hydration throughout the day.

The finely dispensed mist: Reviewers appreciated the fine mist that the thermal spring water can dispensed, leaving a lightweight, fast-absorbing film of soothing hydration on the surface of the skin.

The verdict

“I have been curious about Avène Thermal Spring Water for a while now but was skeptical of it's claims as it seemed like just water in a can. So I was pleasantly surprised by how it calmed down my dry patches and eczema. The mist is very fine and adds a luxurious boost of hydration to the skin. It is light and refreshing enough that it doesn't feel like it is weighing down my skin as the weather warms up.”

“The nozzle and pressure of the can provides a good volume of mist and coverage, and is easy to use on the face or all over the body… This product is multipurpose and great to leave in the fridge for a cool refreshing spritz especially on a hot day or to help sooth any irritation or redness. I do like the soothing effects, minimising irritation and redness, as well as the hydration boost before moisturising.”

“I was surprised at how quickly this product helped ease my skin irritation following a flare up of eczema and contact dermatitis on both my face and my body. The extra boost of cooling moisture helped reduce the dryness and irritation. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone looking for a cooling spray for warmer months.”
