Nothing gets us more excited than a new product, and March seriously delivered in terms of newness. These are our picks for the best launches to hit shelves this month.
Hermès L’Ombre des Merveilles EDP
Ring in the first month of autumn with a scent that exudes slightly more oomph than your go-to summer fragrance. Hermès L’Ombre des Merveilles EDP is a woody oriental scent that covers off warm notes like tonka bean, incense and black tea, and is just the thing to spritz on a dreary day.
Eleven Australia Repair My Hair Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner
With ingredients like quinoa, green tea and hydrolysed soy protein, you’d think we were referring to a healthy smoothie. Surprisingly, they’re ingredients you can find in Eleven Australia’s Repair My Hair Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner, which works to strengthen weak tresses in the long run. “There are three reasons to love this new range,” says Joey Scandizzo, Co-creative Director of Eleven Australia. “There is an in-built heat protection of up to 220° degrees; when used together, the duo increases the volume of your hair by up to 32 per cent; and hydrolysed soy and rice proteins help to repair and rebuild the bond structures of your hair,” he explains. “You’ll notice an immediate result after one wash but get ready for some serious repair after five to six washes.”
Garnier Organics Thyme Perfecting Toner
Toners are one of the most underrated skin care products when it comes to purifying your complexion, and Garnier Organics Thyme Perfecting Toner is our new favourite. With thyme as its lead ingredient along with additions of organic barley water and salicylic acid, this water-like solution can mattify skin and tighten pores without stripping skin of moisture. Plus, the bottle is made with 100 percent recycled plastic and the thyme is organically produced in France, so you know you’re doing your bit for the environment, too.
Beautyblender High Roller Crease Brush & Cooling Roller
The newest hybrid product that we’re obsessed with is this one from Beautyblender, and our editor Carli Alman is the biggest fan. “Besides the fact that the synthetic bristles blend eyeshadow across lids beautifully, I’m obsessed with the cooling rollerball on the other side. I’ve made it part of my morning makeup routine to roll under my eyes before applying foundation and concealer and it’s possibly my new favourite way to start my routine.”
Yves Saint Laurent Pure Shots Night Reboot Serum
Could this be one of the most highly anticipated skin care launches of the year? YSL Pure Shots Night Reboot Serum is a nightly treatment that brings together Moroccan moonlight cactus to protect skin, as well as glycolic acid to gently buff away dead skin cells. Don’t forget to shake the product before using it to combine the dual-phased formula.
Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand in Pillow Talk Light
Charlotte Tilbury is renowned for its dewy, glass-like finishes, and its Beauty Light Wand will do exactly that for your cheeks. What makes this product extra covetable is the fact that it’s a blend of blush that looks totally natural, and a shimmery highlighter that doesn’t look OTT. Swipe to your heart’s desire; it’s very hard to go overboard with this product, so long as you blend the product out well with a brush or your fingers.
Sephora Collection Size Up Mascara
You know you’re in for big, exaggerated lashes after applying this mascara with a name like ‘Size Up’. “What I love about Size Up is how I can achieve multiple looks - from a natural feathery lash to a full pumped up lash [in] a few strokes,” says Alphie Sadsad, National Artistry Lead for Sephora Australia. “The best way to apply it is [to] place the wand as close to the base of the lashes and gently wiggle upwards to the tip to distribute the product. Wait for each layer to dry to achieve extra-large volume, and give your lashes [that] supersized effect!”
Aesop Sublime Replenishing Night Masque
Don’t underestimate the lightweight gel texture; Aesop’s Sublime Replenishing Night Masque combines vitamins B, C, E, and F to give your skin a big drink of hydration this summer. As for the scent? Think warm and woody, like a big hug, which is much needed after a long day at work.
Aceology Cheeky Butt Mask Trio
Yep, the skin on your behind is just as likely to suffer from dehydration, which is why we’re on-board with using a butt mask on the reg. Plus, they’re a great excuse to put your feet up. “The Aceology Cheek Butt Masks are kind of perfect for people who find self-care difficult; they literally force you to lie down and relax,” says Beauty Crew’s Beauty Assistant, Briar Clark. “Though the recommended application time was only 20 minutes, I will admit to falling asleep and wearing the sheet mask for 40 minutes to an hour – oops, my bad. Post nap, my butt was soft, smooth and lookin’ good. Thumbs up from me.”
endota Natural Clear Zinc SPF 50+
It doesn’t get any better than a daily sunscreen that contains food-grade ingredients (such as the coconut and castor oils) and lightweight zinc that won’t leave a white film on your face, which you’ll find in endota Natural Clear Zinc SPF 50+. We highly recommend wearing protective clothing, eyewear and a hat when it comes to prolonged sun exposure.
Lanolips 101 Ointment Multi-Balm Minty
This month, Lanolips 101 Ointment Multi-Balm Mint will hydrate your smackers in the yummiest way. Expect the same incredibly moisturising formula (after all, it’s powered by lanolin, which traps moisture in skin), with the addition of peppermint to make your lips tingle - in the best way possible.
Synergie Skin Skin Strengthening Duo
Healthy skin starts with a strong skin barrier, and Synergie Skin Skin Strengthening Duo has been designed with that in mind. The two products inside actually work together to improve skin barrier function; first, apply Dermiotic to reduce irritation and balance the microbiome of your skin, then apply the vitamin B product to improve hydration levels.
Olay Daily Facials Daily Hydrating Cleansing Cloths
Who knew that a makeup remover, scrub, toner, mask and cleanser could be captured in a single *dry* product? Simply add water to Olay Daily Facials Daily Hydrating Cleansing Cloths (psst… they’re enriched with soothing and nourishing ingredients like grapeseed extract and glycerin), use them to clean your skin, then rinse and wring the cloth out and use it to wipe your face to hydrate.
Cedar and Stone Boy Germs Bye
Right now it’s more important than ever to keep your personal hygiene up, and our new favourite way to cleanse our hands on the go is with a hand sanitiser, such as this one from Cedar and Stone. Not only is it alcohol-free - so it won’t dry out your mitts - it carries a fresh lemon myrtle scent that will invigorate your senses in a few spritzes.
Swisse Manuka Honey Glow Boosting Moisturiser
Looking to reboot your skin? Here are the best facials for a brighter, smoother complexion.
