The Bioré Hydrate & Glow Serum contains lightweight hydrators like coconut water, prebiotics and hyaluronic acid, while the Bioré Hydrate & Glow Moisturiser offers a lighter face cream formulation of shea butter, avocado oil, glycerin and mannitol with a hygienic pump dispenser.

Beauty Crew sent the Bioré Hydrate & Glow Serum and Bioré Hydrate & Glow Moisturiser to a panel of women aged 16 to 35 who were concerned with dry, flaky skin and wanted a glow without getting clogged pores.

The lowdown

They made their skin glow: Reviewers really loved how the serum and moisturiser left their skin looking glowy, fresh and radiant after application.

The creamy texture of the serum and moisturiser: A number of reviewers noted that the texture of the serum and the moisturiser was creamier than other formulations they'd tried. The result? A perfect base for SPF and makeup.

They helped to minimise breakouts: Review Crew® members noted that the serum and moisturiser helped to keep their skin hydrated, but it also helped to minimise their breakouts and didn’t irritate their skin.

The verdict

“I tend to get breakouts and often have dry/flaky patches due to medication, but the [Bioré Hydrate & Glow Serum] – in combination with the hydrate & glow moisturiser– seemed to help with that. After a few weeks of consistent use, my skin definitely felt more dewy and hydrated the morning after use. In terms of consistency, the serum first comes out a little thicker than your average, almost more creamy than watery. However, once you rub it in fully, it sinks in nicely and is easily absorbed. No sticky texture either which is great. Overall, I found it a nice lightweight, hydrating serum for everyday use. I would recommend using the moisturiser on top for an added boost of hydration and glowy skin the next day.”

“I sampled the [Bioré Hydrate & Glow Serum] as part of the review crew and I was really interested to see how my very touchy and sensitive skin would react to it. I have mostly used it during the day under the biore mosturiser and my SPF as I prefer to use a richer serum overnight. The formula is fragrance free which I really appreciated, and it was light and soaked into my skin easily and left my skin feeling bouncy without being wet or greasy. It has also helped to reduce the severity of my breakouts.”

“I received the [Bioré Hydrate & Glow Moisturiser] to try as a part of a trial. I was sceptical at first however I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. The packaging is very easy to use and you can really control how much you use with pump. The plastic packaging is also easy to travel with as there is no risk of breaking. There is no smell to the product which I like too. The formula is thicker than I expected and almost feels like a creamy balm which I actually really liked. It left my skin glowy and moisturised and was long lasting. There is no sunscreen but it's easy to layer. It was also nice under my makeup.”

“[Bioré Hydrate & Glow Moisturiser] is probably one of the best moisturisers I’ve used. My skin is naturally dry and I have acne on occasion and I have tried lots of different formulas. It leaves my skin soft, glowing and not dry at all. The moisturiser doesn’t leave any stickiness or oil and the pump puts out the perfect amount needed. Overall this is a really good product for most skin types I would say and I can’t wait for others to use this product.”
