In 2016, we were introduced to the idea of multi-masking - you know, where you apply different face masks in different areas to combat all your skin concerns in one masking session. In 2020, we’re seeing targeted body masks for the chest, hands and feet, and even ones that tan your skin. Why should your face get all the love?! Here are the best masks to use for each part of your body.
For your bum
We didn’t believe it at first, but we can confirm that butt masks are definitely a THING. We mean, who wouldn’t want smoother skin on their backside, especially during bikini season? Bawdy Shake It Firming & Illuminating Butt Mask is loaded with chamomile, plant-based collagen, oat extract and blue algae, which work together to soothe, plump and firm up your toosh.
For your elbows and knees
When it comes to smoothing skin in trickier areas like your elbows and knees, something seriously heavy duty like Frank Body Body Balm is the way to go. Coffee seed and coconut oil in the formula nourish and intensely hydrate, whilst the addition of beeswax helps lock in moisture for ages. Layer it on your skin straight after a shower and leave it on for 20 minutes before tissuing the excess off, or, leave it on your skin for the rest of the day if you’re feeling extra parched.
For your feet
Up your pedi game with Starskin The Gold Mask Softening Foot Mask. It’s over to shea butter to make your skin feel baby soft, as well as rosehip oil and botanical extracts to nix cracked heels. In just 15 minutes you’ll be ready to put your best feet forward.
For your whole body
James Read Tan Sleep Mask Tan Body should be at the top of your to-try list if you’re after a really deep tan that you can apply right before bed that also won’t stain your sheets (score!). Blend the transparent formula into your skin in circular motions (the brand suggests using a mitt, but if you prefer to use your hands, just remember to wash them after application), and let the product work its magic overnight.
For your chest
The skin on your neck and chest is ultra-thin and delicate, and therefore super susceptible to the signs of ageing. Get started on reversing any damage with Wrinkles Schminkles Infuse Fast Mask Décolletage Sheet Mask, which is infused with vitamin C to brighten and vitamin B3 to improve cellular turnover. Plus, cutest brand name ever, right?
For your hands
Innisfree Special Care Mask is a set of special gloves drenched in serum (packed with seven herbal extracts, FYI) to soften dry mitts. Slip these babies on for 20 minutes while you Netflix and chill.
Want younger-looking hands? Who doesn’t. Here are the essential steps to achieving just that.
Have you tried any of these masks for your body before? What did you think of them? Don’t forget to let us know in the comments below.
