This ceramide-infused body cream delivers a rare combo of rich hydration and a non-greasy finish

Here’s what our Review Crew® had to say about this rich moisturiser

The product

When it comes to keeping dry and sensitive skin hydrated, many of the body care options available have a tendency to be thick, balmy, even bordering on greasy.

Thankfully, CeraVe Moisturising Cream combines long-lasting, rich hydration in a fast-absorbing, non-greasy format, so you can enjoy soft, hydrated skin without having to worry about the annoyance of sticky limbs.

With a formula specifically catering to sensitive, dry and very dry skin types, the moisturising cream combines ceramides and hyaluronic acid to help restore the skin’s natural protective barrier.

Our panel of Review Crew® testers put this rich body cream to the test.

The panel

Beauty Crew sent CeraVe Moisturising Cream to a panel of women aged between 25 and 34, who identify as having dry to very dry skin. Ten of these women were then selected to participate in a virtual Review Crew® Discovery Suite with CeraVe. CeraVe's Scientific Communications Manager Rachel McAdam and BEAUTYcrew's Beauty Editor Delaney Loane led an informative web conference on the brand's latest products: CeraVe Moisturising Lotion and CeraVe Moisturising Cream.

The lowdown

Here’s what the Review Crew® loved about CeraVe Moisturising Cream.

The ultra-hydrating formula: The members of this trial traditionally suffer with very dry skin but many expressed their surprise at how hydrated their skin felt after using the cream. Some reviewers even said their skin still felt hydrated and soft the day after application.

The non-greasy finish: Some of our members were a little apprehensive to try such a thick cream formula, fearing that they would end up with sticky limbs and transfers on their clothing, but were pleasantly surprised by the quick-dry, non-greasy finish.

It’s sensitive-skin friendly: Our sensitive skin members were cheering about the fact the cream is free of fragrance and is packed full of ceramides for optimum skin barrier health, minimising the risk of irritation to sensitised skin.

The verdict

“I’ve always suffered with dry dry skin and its especially bad during the winter. But since using this moisturising cream daily, my skin has drastically improved. Previously with other moisturising products I’ve tried I’d moisturise just before bed and in the morning my skin would feel tight and dry. But since using the CeraVe cream my skin is feeling super soft, and full of moisture. This product is of a thicker consistency for a cream, but it’s not greasy at all, it absorbs fast into the skin and I couldn’t recommend enough.”

“My skin has been incredibly dry since the cooler weather stared and nothing seemed to be working until I tried this! My skin has never felt so hydrated! I was a bit worried at first as it seemed super thick in the tub but it doesn't feel thick once it hits your skin at all. And best of all - you're not left feeling greasy.”

“I am obsessed with this moisturising cream! From someone who has the most sensitive skin in the world, this cream does exactly what it says. Majority of creams for sensitive skin are super thick and feel like they never absorb properly into the skin. The CeraVe cream hydrates instantly without leaving a sticky feeling. There is no fragrance to irritate the skin which is an added bonus. I suffer from hives outbreaks a lot on my body and I feel comfortable applying this cream to settle any irritations. I also love that this product has ceramides to protect the skin barrier.”
