An incredibly chic Dior Beauty popup experience lands in Sydney in just a few weeks
Your August calendar is about to get a whole lot chicer. For one weekend only, Dior Beauty is bringing Sauvage House to Sydney, inviting fragrances fans into an immersive pop-up celebrating the launch of Sauvage Extrait, the newest and most concentrated interpretation of the house's iconic men's fragrance.
Running from August 14 to 16 at El Primo Sanchez in Surry Hills, the experience will transform the venue into a moody, speakeasy inspired by the woody, smoky and richly layered scent profile of the new fragrance. Think dim lighting, thoughtfully designed interiors and plenty of opportunities to discover what goes into one of Dior's most recognisable and luxurious fragrance collections.
At the centre of the experience is Sauvage Extrait, created by Francis Kurkdjian, Perfume Creation Director at Parfums Christian Dior. Inspired by a journey through the desert at night, the fragrance opens with bergamot, French lavender and Ambroxan™ before revealing a deeper woody heart featuring Vietnamese oud—a first for the Sauvage collection—alongside Atlas cedar, Virginia cedar, Indonesian patchouli and Madagascan vetiver. The result is a scent that's powerful yet refined, with smoky, earthy and resinous notes softened by warm, subtly sweet nuances.
Visitors can choose from a number of experiences. The premium Sauvage Grooming Experience includes a personalised grooming session with renowned Australian men's groomer Fernnando Miranda (whose clients include Josh Heuston, Troye Sivan and Ruel), the Sauvage Speakeasy Bar brings the scent collection's universe to life through bespoke cocktails, canapés and live music, and the Sauvage Fragrance Discovery experience allows guests to discover their ideal scent, guided by Dior Fragrance Experts.
