Doechii wore this affordable skin care brand to the Grammys
The 2025 Grammy Awards were full of celebration and controversy *ahem*. But one thing is for sure: the celebs upped their glam game. But not everyone swung on the exxy side of things. Nope, we had several stars opt for budget-approved brands, which we love to see.
One of the budget-conscious, was none other than Doechii. And thank god it's finally time for the Swamp Princess to step (or more accurately shimmy) into spotlight. Being only the third woman to win Best Rap Album at the Grammy Awards, Doechii was truly the breakout star of the show (um hello, that performance). And to celebrate she gave us the gift of a new single "Nosebleeds". But what caught our attention through it all, was how flawless her skin was.
We already know Doechii as someone that's going to stick the middle finger up to conventional beauty standards with the display (and even rhinestoning) of her face tape. But her latest sway from the norm (AKA expensive red carpet skin prep) has given us some ideas for fresh glowing skin and they're not going to cost the bank. Why? Because Doechii wore a full face of The Ordinary skin care to the 2025 Grammy Awards.
So, let's see how her makeup artist Dee prepped and primed her for the big night...
Doechii 2025 Grammy Awards Skin Care

Because Doechii was not only walking the red carpet, but also performing, Dee knew that her skin needed to be perfectly prepped to help lock everything in place (although that was ultimately thanks to the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray, $66 at MECCA).
Dee kept the skin care routine simple but effective, with just five steps to the luminous base.
Step one: Dee applied The Ordinary Saccharomyces Ferment 30% Milky Toner ($24 at Sephora) to create a "silky, glowing canvas", something we could definitely get on board with.
Step two: A hydrated pout is a must, especially when you’re signing on stage. So, to “add moisture and smooth” Dee uses The Ordinary Squalane + Amino Acids Lip Balm ($16 at Sephora). Her pro tip? She also adds a little “after lipstick as a gloss”, so that’s how she gets such a healthy sheen.
Step three: Includes a few drops of The Ordinary's Soothing Barrier Support Serum ($29 at Sephora) to help “even her tone and amp up the moisture”, sounds like something we could get seriously on board with.
Step four: Is there anything better than a nourishing, hydrating moisturiser to lock in your skin prep? We think not and Dee agrees, opting for The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + PhytoCeramides ($35 at Sephora).
Step five: And to finish off the skin prep, Dee used the power of peptides to keep her “under eyes fresh and radiant” with The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Eye Serum ($40 at Sephora).
In Dee's words, it's "skin that looks as good as it feels" and we've got to agree. Plus, with the budget-friendly, easy to purchase nature of the range, you bet we'll be "gonna try a breathin' exercise" while we slather our skin.
