The 2 skin care products that give Elizabeth Debicki glowy skin on-screen

Considering how amazing her skin has looked on every single red carpet we've ever seen her walk down, Elizabeth Debicki is surprisingly tight lipped about her exact skin care routine.

However, the Aussie actress worked with one of England's best makeup artists and facialists while filming The Crown, and they let slip the beauty routine the 32 year old relied on to get into character as the late Princess Diana.

Her two-step skin care routine while filming The Crown

Cate Hall (head makeup artist on the set of The Crown) told ELLE UK that she used a combination of two skin care products to create a glowy base for the makeup she applied on set.

She would prep Debicki's face by cleansing it with the Vanderohe Purifying Cleansing Oil ($171 at Vanderohe) and then she would apply a healthy amount of Augustinus Bader's The Cream ($454 at Augustinus Bader) to moisturise her skin.

Laser treatments

Skin-health expert Jasmina Vico explained to Harper's Bazaar UK that she prioritised strengthening Debicki's skin barrier during their sessions together to counteract the stress of filming and makeup on the skin.

"A combination of laser treatments made up the foundation of the protocol. With no downtime, these are great to use during filming, while also delivering results like reducing redness, boosting overall skin health, collagen remodelling and lifting."

Muscle-sculpting facial massage

In the same interview, Vico told Harper's that "some muscles need lifting while others need relaxing, so we combine lifting and lymphatic drainage techniques with TMJ [massage], which releases tension."

Funnily enough, in a YouTube segment called 'What's inside Elizabeth Debicki's Lady Dior bag?', the Aussie confessed to carrying a gua sha in her camel Lady Dior at all times.

"This is the queen of all. It's supposed to sculpt your face. We don't know what it does, but um you kind of push it around," she explained. "It's a nice placebo to make you feel like you can go on camera every day of your life. I choose to believe her too. I love her."

VicoSkin Screen Star Serum

After Vico had massaged Debicki's face, she would apply a post-treatment serum  called the VicoSkin Screen Star Serum (approx. AU $202.52 at VicoSkin) to "support skin healing, hydration and protection".

Organic Milk Thistle Tea

Vico took a holistic approach with Debicki's skin and prioritised products that worked internally and would allow her body to de-stress while filming.

"This all has an effect on the body, which then impacts the skin. From stress levels and adrenaline to interrupted sleep and make-up application and removal, these are all things we take into consideration, working on supporting gut and liver health – the body's messaging and detoxification centres," she explained.

"Supporting liver health and function helps the body process cortisol, so we always bring in our Organic Milk Thistle Tea from Croatia for clients who are filming – it all helps for achieving that 'lit-from-within' radiance," she continued.
