The best beauty looks from the 2020 Emmy Awards
The virtual red carpet did not disappoint

Like most awards ceremonies in 2020, this year’s 72nd Emmy Awards have gone online; sans live audience sans red carpet and if you’re Jameela Jamil, sans bra (that’s our kinda night tbh).
And while Jimmy Kimmel played host to an empty room (while the audience watched from home), our favourite celebs kept spirits high as they celebrated television’s night of nights the only way they know how: in full Hollywood glam. Or at the very least, ‘quarantine glam’.
So in the words of Laverne Cox, “no red carpet, no problem”, here are our favourite beauty looks from the virtual, but just as fabulous, 2020 Emmys.
In what she’s named “Neo Black Trans Feminist Barbie Tings”, the Emmy Award-winning producer stole the show with her top knot, face-framing fringe and bold, black lashes.
Shahidi’s simplistic dewy base, glossy lip and sleek cat eye played the perfect complement to her immaculate cornrows and statement baby hair ringlet.
Winning the award for most luscious hair (once again), Jamil was the definition of effortless. Watching from her lounge with her glossy hair loose, The Good Place actress created a classic winged liner and bold lip to complete her at-home look.
Tracee Ellis Ross
Tracee Ellis Ross created her own slicked back bun, but called in the glam squad to complete the look with fresh, flushed skin and a pop of purple on the lips.
King kept her hair texture natural and her makeup mostly nude, leaving her eyes to make the statement with a metallic wash of champagne and bold lashes.
Witherspoon kept it old Hollywood with a structured middle part and soft blonde waves. Her terracotta shadow made her blue eyes pop and the cherry matte lip was the icing on the classic cake.
Doing what she does best, Aniston kept it classic with her signature golden tan and loose beach waves.
Keeping her hair sleek and her brows fluffy, Zendaya dazzled with a 3D cheek highlight and soft, metallic eye.
Nailing the ‘lived-in glam’ look, Brosnahan wore a bold, navy cat-eye and berry stained lip, keeping her brunette, shoulder-length hair soft and tousled.
