Spend less, do more

You don’t have to spend a fortune to look good – the trick is to pick hardworking products that deliver for less, like these.
If you’re spending money on intensive treatments each salon visit, stop now! Use a treatment in the shower once or twice a week, so your strands get a regular hit of moisture instead of just an expensive one-off.
An oil-based serum or treatment product is one of the best multitasking products you can own. Use it before washing or overnight as a treatment, or run a 10-cent size piece through damp strands to help fight frizz. It will double as a heat protectant too.
Shampoo for coloured hair
If you dye your hair, then switching to a colour-preserving shampoo is the smartest thing you can do to keep your hue looking vibrant. Use it every time you wash and it will help to prolong your colour so you can stretch out your salon visits.
You should be replacing your mascara every three months –this budget-friendly all-in-one option will make your lashes appear longer and defined on a daily basis, but can also be layered for extra volume when you want more wow factor.
This cult product helps with everything –scars, stretch marks and uneven and dry skin. The best time to apply it is straight after the shower when your skin is at its most absorbent.
BB body lotion
If you don’t have time to apply more than one product in the morning, a body lotion that has a slight tint will cover up imperfections and smooth skin while moisturising too.
A cleanser with active ingredients such as AHAs will work double time, fighting the signs of ageing while revitalising your skin to keep it clean and bright.
