The lowdown

The way it detangled hair: Review Crew® members were over the moon about the fact that the moisturising duo was able to effectively detangle particularly stubborn knots from their hair when it was dry and in need of a little TLC.

It prevented breakage: Many of our reviewers said they noticed an improvement to their hair health, particularly in terms of a reduction in breakage, with many saying the aloe and bamboo-infused formula helped to smooth existent split ends and prevent future damage to boot.

Left strands feeling soft and silky: Many of our members confessed that prior to utilising the shampoo and conditioner they were struggling with particularly dry and damaged hair. “[Herbal Essences bio:renew Potent Aloe + Bamboo Shampoo] was quite thick but a nice consistency, so I didn’t need that much even with my super long hair. It made my hair so smooth. My hair gets very knotty, and this is the only shampoo that’s actually been able to get out the knots and not sit there for 10 min after brushing my hair so long. I would definitely recommend this shampoo especially for people with dyed hair or hair that’s been really dry throughout winter... My hair is soft and isn’t breaking anymore!”

“I love the scent of [Herbal Essences bio:renew Potent Aloe + Bamboo Shampoo], it smells very fresh and clean… It has natural ingredients without sulfates and parabens and it still makes my hair soft, smooth, and easy to comb through. I used to have heavily keratin and color-treated hair which was very dry and because of this I was very particular with the ingredients of the shampoo I use (has to have no sulfates and be color-safe) to ensure that the vibrancy of the color and efficacy of the treatment would stay longer. However, most of the natural shampoos and hair conditioners I have tried always left my hair full of tangles and difficult to comb through. [This makes] my hair easy to comb through and tangle-free.”

I haven't used herbal essences in ages so I was keen to check it out… It left my hair feeling smooth and definitely less tangled! I never brush my hair so controlling the tangles is the biggest bonus for me!! I use those jelly hair ties and always accidentally wear my hair in a bun and it's death to try and detangle my hair from the hair tie but honestly, after using this product, my hair slipped out like a dream… If your hair gets tangled easily, I definitely recommend this!!”

“Herbal Essences bio:renew Potent Aloe + Bamboo Conditioner is fantastic… [It] hydrates and detangles beautifully. I have hair down to my waist so a good conditioner is really important to me. I’ve been using this conditioner after the aloe and bamboo shampoo and my hair feels great. The scent is subtle and fresh. I apply it from mid length to the ends of my hair and leave it on for a few minutes. It has made combing my hair when wet much easier. This range is 90% natural and cruelty free and doesn’t contain sulfates, parabens or colourants. I definitely recommend it!”
