The his and hers fragrance duos we can’t get enough of

Tiffany & Co.’s recent foray into the beauty category - namely, fragrances - has been a total success, to say the least. As for the latest scents, Tiffany & Love For Her EDP and For Him EDT? We think both are set to sell out, fast. Both scents smell like classics with a twist. For Her EDP features notes like blue basil, grapefruit and neroli; and For Him shows off notes like juniper-cypress, ginger, mandarin and cardamom. Blue sequoia, a woody note that’s seriously addictive, is the mutual note that ties the two fragrances together. 

Literally anything that perfumer Maison Francis Kurkdijan creates is incredibly memorable (think Narciso Rodriguez For Her and Elizabeth Arden Green Tea), and his namesake label’s Amyris range is no different. Both Amyris Femme Extrait and Amyris Homme Extrait contain notes of Caribbean amyris (a light wood) and Florentine iris, but they smell vastly unique when compared side by side. Amyris Femme Extrait features additions of woody amber and Egyptian jasmine absolute that smell elegant when put together; whereas Amyris Homme Extrait brings together Brazilian tonka beans and cinammon to build an undoubtfully sexier character.

Following the success of She EDP and He EDT over 20 years ago comes Because It’s You EDP & Stronger For You EDT, the new his and hers perfumes that are a nod to each other’s existence. Because It’s You EDP is delicate yet passionate in character, with juicy raspberry, neroli, vanilla and musk notes. On the other hand, Stronger For You EDT is a more masculine echo of this, with notes of cardamom, pink peppercorn, violet leaves, sugar-coated chestnuts and smoky vanilla.

Jean Paul Gaultier La Belle EDP and Le Beau EDT are a collector’s dream, from the beautifully ornate bottles to the covetable juices inside. Both are equally sensual, unsurprisingly, and are comprised of a really pared-back notes list. La Belle shows off pear, oriental vanilla and vetiver, whilst Le Beau EDT combines coconut wood, bergamot and tonka beans.

You can’t go wrong with crowd-pleasing notes such as mandarin, frangipani flower, magnolia, lily of the valley and green accrod in La Femme Watersplash, and neroli, ginger and cedarwood in L’Homme Watersplash, when it comes to wearability. To tie the two fragrances together, the brand has chosen invigorating vert de mandarin and grounding sandalwood - both of which are so easy to spritz on a daily basis.
