Advertorial: The Sukin range that’ll balance your complexion
Whether you suffer from overall oily skin or a shiny T-zone (forehead, nose and chin), you know how frustrating it can be to maintain a smooth and flawless complexion during the day. And now that the temperature is getting warmer and the air more humid, it seems all but impossible to create a makeup look that’ll be as fresh at the end of the day as it was at the beginning (although getting to 3pm shine-free would be an achievement, too!).
While there are certainly many, many makeup primers, foundations and powders that can help control shine, picking the right skin care for your oily complexion can go a long way to ensuring that you look fabulous despite the heat or humidity.
And that’s where Sukin’s Oil Balancing skin care range comes in.
Formulated to control oil, prevent blemishes, and protects against the effects of pollution, the five Oil Balancing products will help absorb excess oil, clarify and purify skin, and balance your complexion for skin that is mattified without feeling dried out.
Here’s how to fit them into your regular skin care routine:
Morning and night, start with the Sukin Oil Balancing Purifying Gel Cleanser. The formula has been enriched with bamboo charcoal to help give your skin a deep cleanse, clearing impurities, excess oil, makeup and dirt without leaving a dry or tight feeling. Rooibos and willowherb also work to help guard your skin against breakouts.
Follow up by soaking a cotton pad with the Oil Balancing Clarifying Facial Tonic and gently wipe over your face. The gentle formula features white tea extract, pomegranate and bilberry extracts, which help purify pores, while quince works to balance excess oil, and chamomile, aloe vera and cucumber will ensure skin feels calm, soothed and soft.
Finish off with a hit of hydration by applying Sukin’s Oil Balancing Mattifying Facial Moisturiser over your skin. The lightweight, non-greasy formula absorbs quickly and rice powder and moringa help to mattify skin, while pomegranate helps give the complexion a healthy glow
Every 3 days
Regular exfoliation will help remove dead skin cells that can lead to congestion and breakouts, so it’s a good idea to incorporate a scrub into your routine every few days.
Sukin Oil Balancing Pore Refining Facial Scrub features jojoba beads and bamboo charcoal, which work together to exfoliate and refine skin, while drawing out impurities. Like the other products in the range, it also contains balancing ingredients of rooibos tea, willowherb and coconut oil to control oil production, and soothing ingredients of aloe vera, chamomile and cucumber to keep skin soothed, calm and hydrated.
Once a week
Pick one night a week where you have 15 minutes to spare, and apply the Sukin Oil Balancing Anti-Pollution Facial Masque. The combination of detoxifying bamboo charcoal, shine-eliminating quince, and pore-clearing rooibos tea and willowherb work together to control excess oil, leaving pores visibly reduced, and skin soft and glowing.
