Are you Instagram’s next small-business superstar?

IG are opening their doors to help 25 lucky small-business owners

September 08 2021

It’s official: Gone are the days of the traditional 9-to-5.

With Internet advancements coming in hot on the daily and social entrepreneurialism reigning supreme, terms like ‘side hustle’ and ‘girlboss’ now sit comfortably in the workforce vernacular. Remember when Lauren Conrad said her favourite position was CEO? Yeah, we second that.

Unfortunately, though, the journey to #selfmade status isn’t one without barriers. According to a recent survey conducted by our research team at Are Media, 87 per cent of women aged under 25 feel that sexist attitudes still exist in business, while 72 per cent of young Aussie women don’t feel that there is enough diversity in their industry.

Despite these age-old challenges we, as women, are (more often than not) predisposed to (yawn), the research also discovered that these female entrepreneurs are as resilient as they are ambitious. In fact, 84 per cent of the women surveyed believe their business has potential to be more successful, and 79 per cent are intending to upskill or increase training in order to run their business.

And that’s what we’re all about here at BEAUTYcrew – supporting women to fulfill their long-held ambitions and aspirations. With force.

BEAUTYcrew and Are Media have partnered with Instagram to give 25 young Australian female business owners the opportunity of a lifetime: to join the Instagram Academy and accelerate the success of their businesses online.  Yes, really.
