The product

Though masking seshes may typically be reserved for relaxing, they’re also a great way to spot treat any skin flare-ups or prep the skin before makeup, for a look that’s *on point*.

Dermatologically tested for sensitive skin, as well as fragrance-free and hypoallergenic, the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast B5 Sheet Mask is a great choice for days when your skin needs an intense boost of soothing hydration.  With a formula enriched in vitamin B5, this handy skin saviour repairs dry and dehydrated skin, while La Roche-Posay’s thermal spring water protects the skin’s natural barrier.

Our panel of Review Crew® testers put this soothing sheet mask to the test.

The panel

Beauty Crew sent La Roche-Posay Cicaplast B5 Sheet Mask to a panel of women aged 25 and older with dry, sensitive skin or who had recently undergone a cosmetic procedure such as a glycolic peel.

The lowdown

Here’s what the Review Crew® loved about La Roche-Posay Cicaplast B5 Sheet Mask.

The hydrating formula: Our members loved how hydrating the mask was, with a number of reviewers saying their skin felt moisturised and soft after application perfect for pre-makeup.

How it calmed skin: Reviewers with sensitive skin said they found the mask to be a perfect quick fix for soothing unwanted irritation and redness. And those of our reviewers with other skin types said they enjoyed the cooling, calming sensation they experienced during their masking sesh.

How it brightened their complexion: Some of our reviewers have trouble with dull and tired-looking skin, but they found the B5 infused formula to work effectively at brightening their complexions for a more youthful-looking appearance.

The verdict

“I would recommend this mask to anyone that is looking for softer skin or looking for a miracle to calm your skin. Makes my skin look brighter because it's less red and just calmer. After removing the sheet, I like patting the remaining product into my skin to just soak up all that calming goodness. It makes me more confident about my skin and I like that I am more comfortable with wearing less makeup.”

“I love this tissue mask and this one is one of the best I have ever used.I was also super impressed how much serum it's soaked in. This mask fits perfectly on my face and it was very thin [unlike] the other masks I have tried. It has a lovely light smell that is not overpowering. I felt instantly cool, refreshed and relaxed. My skin felt super soft, hydrated and brighter looking after I removed the mask. Waking up the next day, my skin still felt super smooth and very hydrated. I'll definitely be using this again and highly recommend people with dry and dull skin.”

“I have really dry skin and dry patches on my jawline. This mask is totally refreshing and hydrating! Unlike other masks, this one is full of the essence. Easy to use and you can easily find it in chemists. With just one use, you can feel the difference. I like using it best after I place it on the fridge for around 30 minutes. Better to use it regularly to have the full effect. It's soothing as well. Calms the skin and removes redness. I also keep the essence left on the pouch as toner. Totally recommend it!”
