This Le Labo Santal 33 dupe is $40 at Chemist Warehouse
There's little we love more than an A+ perfume dupe here at BEAUTYcrew.
The combination of delicious fragrances and palatably low prices really just hits us in that sweet spot y’know?
We’re still reeling after discovering that Ariana Grande’s $50 Cloud perfume is the perfect Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540 dupe (and that it’s Hailey Bieber’s go-to spritz to boot).
And while we were convinced that this was merely a fluke and a one-off, it turns out we were wrong.
Because apparently JLo’s latest fragrance, Jennifer Lopez One Eau De Parfum ($39.99 at Chemist Warehouse) is an unnervingly convincing dupe for the cult-favourite Le Labo Santal 33 ($433 at MECCA).

Le Labo Santal 33

Jennifer Lopez One
But it’s no mere coincidence that the two fragrances smell similar.
In fact, according to The Cut, Lopez actually bulk orders the Le Labo Santal 26 candle (AKA the home fragrance that inspired the brand’s iconic perfume), sometimes ordering anywhere between 100 to 200 units of the burner at a time. Interesting…
It now makes complete sense that the scent profiles for Lopez’s new One perfume and Santal 33 are in fact extremely similar.
Le Labo’s Santal 33 is a notoriously woody fragrance with notes of Australian sandalwood, cedarwood, leather, cardamon, iris, and musk.
As for JLo’s One? It doesn’t stray far from the iconic formula it’s inspired by, with pink pepper, jasmine, patchouli, amber, sandalwood, moss crystal and suede rounding out the fragrance dupe.
And considering Le Labo’s exxy price tag, we owe a lot to Lopez’s raging obsession with the scent, as her own version comes in at just a tenth of the price. Talk about savings...

#1/ Who Is Elijah His Her 50ml, $99 at The Iconic
This Australian-made EDP shares the same sandalwood and musk notes you love about Santal, blended with a fresh green burst. Consider it a spring take on the classic favourite.
#2/ Clean Reserve Sel Santa 50ml, $69.99 at Chemist Warehouse
This one is a slightly lighter, more citrus-leaning version of Santal 33. It's ideal for those who love the powerful feeling of a woody fragrance, only less heady.
#3/ Oakcha Ruhe 30ml, $57 at oakcha.com
Unafraid to call a spade a spade, the description of this fragrance is quite literally 'inspired by Santal 33'. Only those with a clever nose will be able to spot the difference.
