Why Lily James just became the Brit to watch

Move over Cara and Kate, there’s a new ‘it’ girl in town

Lily James, mostly known for her acting roles in Downtown Abbey, Cinderella and Burnt, is set to star in her first ever-global advertising campaign for the iconic British brand, Burberry. 

As the new face of Burberry fragrances, the 27-year-old actress will replace Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne (but don’t worry, Cara’s also just landed herself another plum beauty gig). 

The British beauty said of her new role, “I am thrilled to be officially joining the Burberry family. I am so proud to be British, so it really means a lot. Shooting my first campaign was so special – I don’t want to give away too much but I had a lot of fun showing a different side of myself…” 

The campaign will be revealed later this year, and it will include images shot by iconic photographer Mario Testino.
