Joining the ranks of an exclusive list of celebrities including Blake Lively, Karlie Kloss, Eva Longoria, Julianne Moore, Doutzen Kroes and Jennifer Lopez, model Maria Borges has been announced as the newest global spokesperson for L’Oréal Paris.

The model, who hails from Africa, is most well-known for walking the Victoria’s Secret runway in Paris just last year (and being the first do to so with her natural short afro), but has also strutted down the runway for the likes of Chanel, Balmain and Givenchy prior to signing her first big beauty deal. Maria previously appeared in the L’Oréal Paris campaign for lip range Paint, and will feature in the upcoming Matte Obsession campaign.

Maria said of her new gig, “This means the world to me. I believe in the beauty of diversity and the empowering message that a girl who started from the bottom can become an international beauty symbol. And be living proof that our dreams are valid and the future ahead of us is bright. Thankyou L’Oréal Paris, we’re all worth it.”

The brand shared these images with the caption: “We are so proud to introduce you our new gorgeous Lorealistas @iammariaborges. Come & spend the day with us #worthit #lorealista #pfw17 #reveal #parisienne

Maria’s not the only one celebrating a new beauty deal. Find out which brand Taylor Hill and Hailey Baldwin recently signed together.
