The product

There’s nothing worse than waking up in the morning with puffy and dull skin that looks as tired as you feel. You want something that can de-puff and revive your complexion quickly.

L’Oréal Paris’s sugar scrub is like a cup of coffee for your skin. The L’Oréal Paris Smooth Sugars Anti-Fatigue Scrub is a gentle yet effective sugar scrub that is enriched with coffee grains that work to de-puff skin and smooth fatigue lines, while sweet almond and coconut oils help boost skin’s vitality and smooth and soften so you can step into the day with your best face forward.

Our panel of Review Crew® testers put this product to the test.

The panel

Beauty Crew sent L’Oréal Paris Smooth Sugars Anti-Fatigue Scrub to a panel of women aged between 18 to 30 who suffer from dull, tired-looking skin and were looking to reduce the appearance of puffiness and fatigue lines.

The lowdown

Here’s what the Review Crew® loved about L’Oréal Paris Smooth Sugars Anti-Fatigue Scrub.

How it improved the tone and texture of their skin: Review Crew® members loved the immediate brightening effects of the mask, with many reviewers commenting that their skin looked brighter and clearer after just one use. Reviewers also noted that with regular use the scrub helped to improve the texture and overall tone of their skin.

That it was effective but not too harsh: Members appreciated that the scrub thoroughly exfoliated and cleansed skin, removing all traces of excess oil, dirt and dead skin cells, without leaving skin feeling dry or tight. They found the fine sugar particles melted into skin upon contact and were gentle enough for even sensitive and reactive skin types, including those with eczema.

The way the scrub complemented the rest of their routine: Our review team found that the scrub’s ability to gently slough away dead skin cells meant that the other products in their skin care routine were able to absorb more effectively, ensuring better penetration of active and anti-ageing ingredients.

The verdict

“I adore the scent, like sugared coffee, so yummy. It’s packaged quite luxe and at under $20.00 it’s quite a bargain. This scrub is awesome for exfoliation, it removes excess oil and grime and dead skin cells for renewal so it’s great for anti-ageing.”

“Using it twice a week, I noticed my skin seemed clearer and brighter, also any makeup seemed to glide on easier and have longer staying power.”

“I love that with these natural ingredients it leaves no sticky residue or alcohol ingredients that dry out the skin. Instead my skin feels very smooth and supple. You can even use it as a lip scrub too.”
