We can’t stop staring

Out of all the eyeshadow colours, green would have to be the hardest/least tempting pigment to wear. It’s a scary eyeshadow choice because a) it’s tricky to pull off, and b) you can’t help but worry someone will bring up the fact that it’s not St Patrick’s Day.

BUT, thanks to Lucy Hale, our collective fear of green eyeshadow is about to change.

The actress has just rocked up to the Teen Choice Awards red carpet wearing THE most stunning sparkly green eyeshadow look we have *ever* seen - and now we can’t wait to plaster our eyelids in the same shade.

Permission to fall in love with the look:

Yep. Consider us sold.

The glittery emerald green eyeshadow was blended around Lucy’s upper and lower lid, lifting her entire look and accentuating her brown eyes on a whole other level (also, would you just look at those lashes!).

The maestro behind this glamorous eye-catching look was celebrity makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan, who promised to dish out a breakdown of the entire product list, captioning her Instagram snap with: “GREEN EYED GIRL @lucyhale bringing color to the Teen Choice carpet! Hair @davestanwellstyled @alyssasutterstylist makeup @kdeenihan  #teenchoiceawards2018 #lucyhale **breakdown coming soon!”

However, if you can’t wait to copy this look (read: all of us), we recommend trying the emerald green shade in the Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 5 to achieve a similar effect. Remember to dab a bit of concealer or eye primer on your lids before application to ensure your eye makeup doesn’t budge! This isn’t a shade you want making its way onto the rest of your complexion.

P.S. Lucy wasn’t the only actress sporting a daring eye look. Actress Katherine Langford took to the red carpet wearing silver jewels at the side of each eye, proving face gems aren’t just for festivals! They may not be for everyday either, but for a night out…we say, go nuts!
