Christmas may be six months away but that doesn’t stop us from drawing up wish lists early. Here are the latest and greatest new beauty products to hit shelves this month.
Clarins Hydra-Essentiel Bi-phase Serum
If you’re feeling wind-chapped or drier than normal then you’ve got the cooler weather to blame. One of the most effective ways to restore moisture is with a topical solution, like Clarins’ new Hydra-Essentiel range that features plant-based nutrients that can hydrate with impact. The product that’s caught our eye is the Hydra-Essentiel Bi-phase Serum that has the consistency of an essence but features a layer of organic Mary’s thistle oil to balance and a mix of blackcurrant bud and Orthosiphon to mattify and soothe. To get the most out of this product, shake a few times to muddle the formula and apply straight onto bare skin.
Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro Notorious
Nothing compares to a lick of bold lip paint when you want to make a big statement. Following the success of Giorgio Armani’s classic Lip Maestro range comes Notorious, a fusion of a matte colour that you expect from a lipstick with the ease of application that a gloss can provide. Best of all, they feel light and smoothing on lips, and not at all sticky.
shu uemura eye foil
Up the ante on your makeup game with a slick of metallic colour on your eyes. shu uemura’s eye foils may seem runny upon contact, but they’re surprisingly ace at blending and setting for a long-wearing effect, or working as a base to your metallic smoky eye.
Estée Lauder Perfectionist Set + Highlight Powder Duo
Gone are the days of obvious contouring and stripe-like applications of light and dark brown shades; Estée Lauder Perfectionist Set + Highlight Powder Duo features two finely-milled cream to powder colours that can sculpt, shape, and effortlessly blend into skin.
Revlon Youth FX Fill & Blur Foundation
For a smoother-looking complexion, try Revlon Youth FX Fill & Blur Foundation, a new foundation that contains tiny spheres to fill fine lines and wrinkles all over without looking cakey. To use, simply blend it over your face, starting from your nose, and pat a tiny spot of it over problematic areas to mask redness.
Too Faced Love Light Highlighter
If you’re looking for a glittery number to dress up your complexion, you’ve come to the right place. The new Too Faced Love Light Highlighters are unapologetically shimmery, and can brighten your complexion in a flash. Try them on cheekbones to bring out your features or add a touch of them on your eyelids to brighten the area.
Bioderma Sensibio H20 Wipes
If you’re a big fan of Bioderma’s iconic Sensibio range (particularly their micellar water), then you’re going to want to add these new wipes to cart immediately. Soaked in micellar solution and perfect for sensitive skin types to use, these wipes can remove makeup and refresh the skin immediately.
Ultraceuticals Ultra Dual Microfoliant
Looking for a new way to get smoother and brighter-looking skin? Ultraceuticals has you covered. “This product can micro-foliate the surface of the skin with the use of bromelain (a pineapple enzyme) along with the mild buffing action of biodegradable cellulose biospheres and self-dissolving vitamin C (ascorbic acid) molecules,” says Ultraceuticals Global Education Ambassador, Tracey Beeby. “On application, the ascorbic acid particles utilise the power of vitamin C to help brighten the skin and provide antioxidant protection while exfoliating.”
Dove Dry Refresh & Care Dry Shampoo
Whether you’re looking to add texture to your hair or want to refresh your ‘do, a dry shampoo is the answer to your prayers. Dove’s version is made from starch, which can absorb oil and grease without weighing hair down. Got your hair set in waves or curls? Try this dry shampoo trick recommended by hairstylist Mark Townsend.
Rimmel London Volume Shake Mascara
Featuring a unique water-gel formula that brings together water and wax as its main ingredients, Rimmel London Volume Shake Mascara can coat, lift and darken bare lashes in a few swipes. What’s caught our eye is its special “shaker system”, where the formula is only activated once it is vigorously shaken.
