The lowdown

Here’s what the Review Crew® loved about the OGX Blonde Enhance + Purple Toning Shampoo and OGX Blonde Enhance + Purple Toning Drops.

The way they eliminated unwanted brassy tones: Review Crew® members were impressed by the way the shampoo and toning drops helped to minimise the appearance of yellow, orange and brassy tones in their blonde hair without staining their strands purple in the process.

How moisturising they were: Reviewers loved how moisturising the shampoo and toning drops were compared to traditional toning formulas. Many noted that their hair felt more hydrated, softer and shinier after using the blonde enhancing range.

They were able to customise their hair toning routine: A number of reviewers said they had been turned off by traditional toning formulas because they stained their hair. But the blonde enhancing range (especially the toning drops) allowed them to customise the amount of toner they used in their haircare routine. Some reviewers even experimented and paired the range with their favourite nourishing haircare formulas for optimised results.

“The OGX toning shampoo is one that I was reluctant to try as most purple shampoos usually dry out my hair and leave me with split ends. This product however, increased my hair's hydration and softness within only two washes! I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this shampoo and how well it left my hair looking and feeling. If you're someone like me who doesn’t like to use purple toning shampoos all the time you can safely use this once a week and know that you won’t experience any yellow or brassy tones! A perfect product to help restore your blonde hair.”

“This shampoo is critical for blondes regularly bleaching their roots. It is effective from the first use in removing those brassy yellow tones that other purple shampoos can’t fix. It is a beautifully fragrant shampoo which leaves your hair smelling amazing, and with a soft and shiny glow. Best results tend to be from leaving it in for about 4-5 minutes. I found that any longer would risk a few purple strands - but these fade within a few days. Would highly recommend this product to any recent or long term blondes.”

As someone who was currently on a routine of using a specialised shampoo and conditioner to prompt growth, I was finding my blonde hair became duller quicker because I wasn’t able to use my regular toning shampoo and then this came to the rescue! Having the choice to add as little or as much was fantastic, it blended well into either shampoo or conditioner and didn’t smell like toner at all. “I love the concept! This means I can use my favourite non-violet shampoo and add a few drops of this product and voila, I have a purple shampoo! The same goes for a conditioner, serum, anything basically. Such a great, versatile product. I am happy with the outcome, I've used the drops to mix with a conditioner, and it worked out really well. My hair was toned, soft and manageable. I didn't have any purple or blue residue in my hair after applying it, which sometimes happens with other violet/blue toning products on the market.
