Pat McGrath has released a Taylor Swift makeup collection

The official Taylor Swift starter pack, if you will

Unless you’ve been living under a rock the past week, you probably know that Taylor Swift has blessed us with another music project.

Swift has already released music videos for two of the tracks on her new album ‘Midnights’: “Anti-Hero” and “Bejeweled”. The latter of which featured a litany of glittery, period-inspired makeup looks brought to life by industry legend Pat McGrath.

Not only is McGrath responsible for Swift's mesmerising makeup in “Bejeweled”, and on the red carpet, but she’s also the sole instigator of a Swift-centric makeup collection, which is now available exclusively at the Pat McGrath Labs website.

The Taylor-made collection is basically a Taylor Swift starter pack and includes everything the makeup artist used to create the singer's looks on the set of her latest music video.

There’s the Pat McGrath Labs The 'Taylor-Made' Kit ($387 at Pat McGrath Labs), Pat McGrath Labs The 'Taylor-Made’ Eye Kit ($102 at Pat McGrath Labs), Pat McGrath Labs The 'Taylor-Made' Lip Kit ($92 at Pat McGrath Labs), and Pat McGrath Labs LiquiLUST™ Lip Luxuries Kit in ‘Elson’ ($95 at Pat McGrath Labs), respectively.

Was Pat McGrath in the “Bejeweled” music video?

If you were watching closely, then you would have spotted Pat McGrath herself in the visuals for “Bejeweled”.

According to Swift, who directed the Cinderella-inspired music video, she wanted to cast friends to fill each role. The band Haim played her evil step sisters, Jack Antanoff her prince, and “Oscar-winner Laura Dern” her stepmother. Plus, “the genius, legendary makeup artist and creator Pat McGrath” as the Queen of the narrative. And playing the part of her fairy goddess? “Dita Von Teese, who I think is one of the most iconic performers,” Swift explained on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

“To reign as The Queen of Bejeweled, on a song from this year’s #1 album was utterly fun, fabulous and fierce,” gushed McGrath via Instagram

“I was thrilled when my dearest gorgeous Taylor asked me to create looks for ‘Bejeweled’,” she continued. “[But] when Taylor also proposed that I play this role in front of the camera, I was beyond nervous.”

“I’m most comfortable behind-the-scenes,” she confessed. “Thank goodness Taylor is a superb DIRECTOR. She made it all so joyful - it was truly a DAZZLING experience.”
