Bottega Veneta Eau Legere

This is one of the best random purchases I have ever made!! I have only ever worn Chanel perfume for years....since I bought A bottle of Allure on an overseas trip 30 years ago!!  I happened to be at Hong Kong airport and I didn’t have much time before boarding. I spotted Bottega Venetia display at the front of the duty free store, stopped and sprayed a card and thought Why not??, I felt being radical and trying a new scent.  EVERY SINGLE TIME I wear BOTTEGA VENETA someone compliments my fragrance. Men and women alike ....and all ages. Sometimes I feel like I should get in touch with Bottega Veneta house and ask to be put on their marketing team! I feel like I’m constantly being asked about what perfume I’m wearing. It is a very different scent...and I find I can wear it across many different occasions. It can be sultry and sexy. It can be sporty. Perfect for a concert. It’s cultured....complicated but yet simple. It is a perfect scent to travel with because it is a fabulous all rounder. Summer and winter.    I love the bottle...simple and perfect. They also have a compact size which is so, so Gorgeous and perfect for one’s handbag even very small evening bags.  The scent lingers and stays on the skin and gives off it’s scent for a long time after application.  I love the fact it is not a common scent and so I find with this, along with other features, it is fabulous value for money. 

This is a beautiful day scent. Not overpowering, but subtle and summery. It's not a scent that lingers and suffocates. I abhor using words like complex to describe a scent, but there are really so many layers to this scent that all seem to mould together to create perfection in a bottle.

This is not your ordinary, feminine scent. Oh no, this is so different to any other perfume I have smelled before. It's an acquired scent, so to speak, so you either love it or hate it.  Like the original Bottega Veneta, it is leathery and woody but not as pungent with a bit of florals and freshness.  Not exactly your run of the mill perfume.  It has notes of Oakmoss, Pink Pepper, Bergamot, Jasmine and Gardenia.  It sits nicely on the skin and starts to become powdery.  It sounds like an unusual mix but it actually works quite well.  For those who enjoy a bit of complexity and earthiness with their perfume, then this is for you.

Sophisticated, classy, not very common in Australia, a wonderful smell for a person who loves quality fragrances. Leathery.
