Great shade but too much tingling

This product comes in a slim tube that's similar to lip balms, but the product itself it more pigmented than your usual tinted lip balms. It comes in a large shade range with some pretty colours, and I have it in Rhubarb, Fig and Caramel. Ingredients include various plant oils, beeswax, cocoa butter, lanolin and shea butter. The texture is buttery and applies smoothly, one coat deposits quite a lot of pigment. It isn't too shimmery even though there is a nice sheen to it. Unfortunately there is so much peppermint oil in this, you can feel the tingling immediately after application, which lasts for quite a while. It does leave lips moisturised with nice colour, but I find the tingling uncomfortable. I wish I had only bought one to try first.
I bought this in the Guava shade, what I thought was a slightly pinky colour. When I first tried this, I applied it without looking in a mirror and when I did, I got such a fright! I had the most frosty metallic Barbie pink lips, it looked awful and very unnatural. The balm also has peppermint oil so it tingles your lips for quite a while, a sensation I didn't really enjoy either.  After using once, this has been left at the bottom of my make up bag and never got any use again. What a waste and very disappointing. I will stick with the Burts Bees tinted lip balms instead.
Love this! I have the shade watermelon. It has a really nice fresh minty smell and it took me forever to work out that watermelon was the shade and not smell... love mint though just as much as watermelon so it was ok. Leaves a nice healthy colour and subtle shine on your lips. Leaves your lips feeling soft.
After all the hype, I found these really disappointing. The colour range is great, but the formula is really lacking. I found the formula really heavy and thick on the lips, where as I prefer the feeling of a lighter balm. Despite this heaviness, it gave me no hydration at all! It may have even dried my lips out due to the peppermint oil in my shade. The shimmer in the balm is also very chunky - it is glitter pieces rather than shimmer. I also found the formula hell to deal with during summer! This lil balm melts at the drop of a hat, so I was forever opening it during summer only to find it had melted and managed to get on the inside of my bag. The twist-tube mechanism also wouldn’t work for me.
I had a tube of Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer sitting in my drawer for a while before I started using it.   I mustn’t have taken much notice of the packaging because although I noticed the shade to be ‘Fig’ I was surprised at the peppermint smell and feeling on my lips when I first applied it.  And although my lips tingled from the peppermint oil it didn’t bother me.  I really like that these are a different sort of lip balm with a colour that can be built upon to provide a deeper shade if desired.  Fig is a gorgeous shade of deep red,  just perfect for me, so I can easily pop this on when I’m out and about without having to worry about reapplying my lipstick.  The lip shimmer is very moisturising and leaves a subtle sheen. As with all lip balms I use, I have to apply this one regularly because it doesn’t last very long.  I don’t think this is because my lips are dry but because I like to actually feel the balm on my lips, so when it wears off I reapply it. The slim line wind-up tube makes it easy to use and I like that the tube can be recycled.  The only problem I have with the tube is that it can get lost inside a handbag so I make sure it has its own compartment so I can access it easily.  I definitely recommend this lip balm to anyone wanting to add a bit of colour to their lips but at the same time wanting a really hydrating balm.  I'm looking forward to trying some other shades in this range.
These lip shimmers are pretty minty and can sometimes feel uncomfortable/tingly on the lips. I got one of the lighter shades, I believe it was Rhubarb or Guava and it makes me look kind of 'washed out' due to the abundance of shimmer/glitter. I don't find it moisurises my lips - the original tinted balms from Burt's Bees are better at that. However the tube is really cute and slim though I don't see myself repurchasing it.
This is my absolute favourite from the entire Burts Bee's Range!! (and there is some good ones in there!!) The tint is perfect for that little extra bit of something, especially if you're having a no makeup look day. The hydration on top of that is amazing - lasting hours for when you're on the go. The price is also really reasonable.  I'll never not have one of these Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer on hand! xx
Boasting a wide range of colours to suit everyone, Burt's Bees has created a little beauty of lip shimmers which is perfect for sensitive and dry lips without compromising on shine and colour. I own about 5 different colours, some are more pigmented than others which is good. I use a some for a light, casual look and some for work or going out so they will suit whatever look you're going for. Most of them have a refreshing minty fragrance which soothes the lips at the same time. I would give it 5 stars if only it was longer lasting but it's not advertised as that so I guess I can't complain too much. I would buy these products again and again, I think I have a few stored in my handbag right now... so they're small enough to carry around with you too!
These have a very minty/fresh smell. They aren't super pigmented but you can definitely tell there's something on the lips. Super creamy and moisturising! They almost have a tingley minty sensation similar to a plumping gloss when you first apply this. I love the color range and how shimmery these are! Perfect over a matte lip!
These are REALLY shimmery.  Like, 80's frosted lipstick shimmery!  The texture can be a bit grainy on some shades, but the minty scent and tingle is really nice.  I have two shades (Peony and Rhubarb) and I find that the peony shade is rarely worn because of the highly frosted finish.  The rhubarb shade is far more wearable and I love the minty feel.
Love, love, love these! They are always in my handbag/at work/ in the car. Here's why: - burt's bees lip balms, need I say more? So nourishing, creamy - a true savour to my chapped lips, especially in winter - their ingredients are generally natural and great for the skin, not to mention they are cruelty free which is always an added bonus. - The sheer colours are fabulous - lipstick worn off? just reapply these. Not wearing any makeup but want to look pulled together - just quickly add to the lips for a quick colour and shimmer. The colour range is quite large - which is great for various skin tones, and what you're looking for.  Would definitely recommend - especially at such a great price (and even better when you can grab them on special!)
Love these! I have bought two shades and will be going back to more! They are quite comfortable on the lips to wear all day. I was worried that the shimmer will highlight any dry skin on your lips however it doesn't and doesn't sit in the lines of your lips. Love the packaging too!
I have this in shade Fig and find myself currently using it, in preference to lipstick, almost every day.  I've only recently purchased one of these and I became a big fan quite quickly. I am in my 50's and have lips that really crave moisture. As Lips don't contain any natural oils, they are prone to the weather, air-conditioning, and just life in general making them feel dry and uncomfortable.  So I love using rich lip balms. The downside with most lip balms is that while they hydrate lips and keep them healthy, they either have no colour, or add a tint so faint it's impossible to notice any real colour. I've been looking for a natural, hydrating balm that also gives a great punch of colour, and am so happy that I've discovered this Lip Shimmer. It ticks all the boxes for me.  The colour Fig gives a deep reddish hue to the lips, that reminds me of Clinique's famous Black Honey lip colour.  It suits me so well, and has enough intensity that my lips have definition and look great.  The Lip Shimmer is in a slimline tube, with the colour on the lid. That's going to be handy when I buy more shades and am rummaging in my handbag for a particular shade. The Lip Shimmer has a wonderful, all natural formula. I love that it includes Peppermint Oil - this gives a nice, menthol "zing" to my lips, and overall the texture is lightweight and refreshing.  The Shimmer part of Lip Shimmer is subtle and quite flattering.  I think it would suit women of all ages.  If you are after a wonderfully hydrating lip balm with a decent punch of colour, you really can't go past this one from Burt's Bees. I will absolutely be buying many more colours, can't wait to try them.
I love this natural lip balm which moisturises and provides great colour to my lips. It comes in a slim and sleek tube, which makes it incredibly easy to slip into my makeup bag and carry away with me. It has a pleasant and appealing peppermint flavour which makes it easy to use anytime. The lip colour goes on smoothly, and for me, is mostly matte with a slight gloss to it. It is creamy in formula and doesn't flake or peel on my lips. Since it works so well for me, I have it in a couple of shades, to suit whatever my mood is for the day. I recommend this lip colour for anyone who wants a natural lip balm which provides colour and nourishment to the lips.  Pros: Slim size Low priced Natural ingredients No bitter aftertaste  Cons: Will require touch ups after food and drink Tips:  Exfoliate the lips before applying for more smoother and softer lips
*Sings*  Shimmy shimmer coco pop, Shimmy shimmer WOW! I just realised that I don't appreciate this product enough. I've been buying Burt's Bees lip shimmer in Peony for years. It has humbly lived in my drawer and bag while I forgot about it, bought a few new lip glosses, not liked most of them, and then returned to using the Burt's Bees. I've also bought other types of lip glosses from Burt's Bees, but they didn't do much for me. The lip shimmer is miles ahead and my bee's knees!  Pros: Skinny tube makes precision application easy Peppermint flavor makes my lips feel alive and luscious Subtle appropriate shimmer gives that extra pop, while not looking like a teen covered in glitter Peony colour for me is a natural rose pink for everyday use Normal to long lasting Moisturising  Reasonable price for the quality of the product and how long it lasts, I know lip glosses can be $5, but this one is worth much more than the $10 they charge for it Cons Packaging is average and makes it look like a $10 product (inside is deluxe though) Wrapper/sticker always peels off for me after a few months (maybe I should sticky tape it down when I first buy a tube) Come to think of it, I want to try some other colours in this range that are brighter, like Rhubarb and Cherry.  I should try wearing it for special occasions, outside of my everyday Peony colour!
I have used this lip balm in the shades of Rhubarb, Fig and Raisin. I really like them all! The colour is rich and deep and gives the lips a lovely sparkle and shine. They have such a fresh fragrance of peppermint and they give the lips a refreshing tingle when first applied. They do tend to wear off after a half  hour or so or after eating and drinking so make sure you carry it around in your bag so you can reapply whenever you need to. I love this lipbalm for a gentle, everyday colour thats helps to soften and nourish my lips. It's also great value for money and uses natural ingredients.
