Celebrities: they’re just like us, right? They eat, they drink, they sleep, and they love affordable beauty products. Yep, that last one is totally true.
Alongside many prestige products, here are just some of the beauty bargains you’ll find in your favourite celebrities’ beauty kits….
The youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan revealed in an interview with Violet Grey, “my makeup room has all these drawers filled with makeup that I just rarely touch because I use the same stuff every day.” The star has shared that one of these everyday products is the Fit Me! Blush from Maybelline, which you can pick up from your local pharmacy. It seems Kylie loves a budget buy as much as the rest of us.
While a Victoria's Secret model's skin care routine often consists of drinking lots of water and getting plenty of sleep, it usually involves some pricey skin care buys, too. So when Maxwell revealed to StyleCaster the moisturiser she swears by will set you back just over $20, we were pleasantly surprised. Even better news is that the model's go-to product, Weleda Skin Food, is completely natural (and extremely hydrating).
The Pretty Little Liars star already has one of the most striking set of eyes in Hollywood, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t call upon a hard-working mascara to make her peepers pop even more. Shay recently revealed she loves CoverGirl LashBlast Plumpify blastPRO Mascara not only for the formula’s lash plumping effects, but because of its exceptional root lifting brush, too.
The mum-of-two once claimed on Keeping Up With The Kardashians that having stretch marks is her worst nightmare. And while we’re not going to judge anyone on their personal fears, we are going to praise her for her anti-stretch mark product choice: Bio Oil. Kayne’s other half doesn’t just apply it to her body, though; Kim’s said to also use it around her eyes to help prevent wrinkles.
Mad Men’s Betty Draper isn’t the only one who knows the importance of a reliable hairspray - the actress behind the brilliant bouffant has her favourite, too. January has been using L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray for around 20 years because it holds her style, leaves her locks shiny and doesn’t weigh down her hair.
Lanolips 101 Ointment is a much-loved Aussie icon, but its popularity also stretches across the pond. Sienna Miller loves using the multipurpose pure-grade lanolin ointment during the cold UK winter to help combat dry, flaky lips. We wonder if she knows it works just as well on cracked heals, minor cuts and nail cuticles, too?
It’s usually the Duchess of Cambridge’s impeccable hair that grabs our attention, but the mother-of-two also has an enviable complexion. And after she was spotted in UK retailer Boots purchasing a jar of NIVEA Pure & Natural Regenerating Night Cream a few years back, it appears replicating her royal radiance isn’t actually out of reach for us ordinary folk.
Being a movie star, mother and business owner is a tough gig, so we’re not surprised to hear Gwyneth sometimes find herself reaching for dry shampoo when she doesn't have time to wash and blow-dry her hair. Her favourite? Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo. It soaks up any unwanted grease, and gives her strands instant volume.
Cherie is somewhat of a digital dinosaur, having kick-started her beauty writing career back in 2009 at PRIMPED alongside industry expert Zoë Foster Blake. Since then, her words have appeared online and on paper for BEAUTYcrew, POPSUGAR, beautyheaven, New Idea, and Fitness First, while her marketing know-how has helped brands such as L'Oréal Paris, The Body Shop, A’kin, and Dr. LeWinn’s add a journalistic flair to their digital content. She is a vocal advocate for (physical) sunscreen, is rather fond of a bold lip, and is utterly terrible at styling hair.
